Marissa comes to us with a passion to support others on their fertility journey and lived experience with infertility and surrogacy.

This group is for you if you are exploring surrogacy, waiting to be matched or are matched and waiting for baby. We are so excited to add this group to our Monthly Virtual group offering and can’t wait to welcome you!

Below are some questions we've heard from our community along with our answers. If you have a question that isn't covered here, please reach out!

1. What can I expect when I attend an Oasis support group?

• At Oasis support groups, you’ll find a community of support – you’ll meet people who’ve been through it and who get it in a private, safe space where you can connect, learn and share.

2. How much do your groups cost to join?

• All of our groups are no cost to join. We know how expensive fertility treatment is – it’s part of our core values to never charge for much-needed support.

3. workers or psychotherapists?

• We have an MSW on our board who helped create all of the Oasis training materials and guidance. These materials are used to train our support group Conversation Starters, who are not registered social workers or psychotherapists – they’re people like you who have been through fertility treatment and who have now completed their fertility journey.

4. How big will my group be?

• The maximum size for all groups is 10 attendees.

5. Do I have to share?

• There’s no pressure to share. If you prefer to sit and listen, you are still welcome to attend.

6. How often do your support groups take place?

• All Oasis support groups meet the 3rd Monday of every month from 7:30 – 9:30 PM EST.

7. How long do groups go for?

• Officially, groups start at 7:30 PM and end at 9:30 PM. So you’re welcome to head out after that. But groups often go longer and we love to see people connecting and chatting!

8. Is it mandatory to sign up for a group? Or can I just attend last minute?

• You’re always welcome to join. That said, when you sign up it helps us plan ahead and keep to our maximum group size of 10 people.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day is an annual day of remembrance, observed on October 15, for pregnancy and infant loss.

Today, we send strength and love to those in our community who have experienced the unimaginable. We remember the little ones who left footprints on our hearts that were gone far too soon, and we stand together in support, holding space for your grief and healing.

Tonight, let’s light a candle in their memory and stand together in support of those who have known this profound loss. 🙏

Today is World Mental Health Day and we want to say to those of you who are struggling in the areas of anxiety and depression and stress associated with your fertility - we see you - you are not alone.

This journey is so hard, it’s okay not to be okay. Today, we want to encourage you to FIND support, reach out to a friend, check in on each other, text a ‘you matter’ message to someone who is struggling and feel safe to join our community of people who get it - we are here for you 🍍

This weekend we are supposed to give thanks for the things in our life we are grateful for.

That can be very hard on the fertility journey, sometimes it even feels impossible. Wherever you are today, we see you.
