Mme Feher has been tending our gardens but would love some help.

Have a spare moment?
Want the kids to get more involved with nature?

We are looking for individuals who can stop by the school to water, w**d, and harvest nature's gifts from our gardens.

⚠️PLEASE NOTE:
1. If you are watering, please ring the front door to let the caretakers know to bring out the hose. Daytime hours only.

2. When tending the garden, please watch out for the rabbit's nest near the basil - avoid watering around the nest.

If you can lend your green thumb (or any thumb!) even for a few minutes, the gardens will thank you!

You are welcome to pick any ripened fruit or vegetable. Take a picture and share with us!

Pickup will take place at the 🏫 school on August 26th.

Little did Mme Assouline know that after our planned Grade 2 assembly, WE had a surprise for her.

A whole school song and dance routine to some very meaningful songs - in SAJ fashion!

When insects and children unite 🪳🐜🦋🐞

A HUGE round of 👏 applause to these top money raising children.
They raised the most money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation during our Jump Rope For Heart Event.

Did you hear!?!
SAJ raised $5030 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
That is $1530 more than our goal.

It was not a typical Monday for the SAJ staff.
Why? - You might ask!

Because Tea Trolley was Lunch Trolley today!!!

Thank you Sherbrooke Academy Home and School Association and bakers and chefs for a delicious lunch and treats to start off our week.

👏 to our AH-MAZING Home and School. You know how to build the connection between 🏡Home AND 🏫School.
We, children, families, and staff, are lucky to have you as a big part of the SAJ family.

Mme B hosted her raffle prize and the winners were treated to some quality time with non other than Franklin the Turtle.

Grade 2 pool fun
A perfect day for splashing

On Thursday, the children participated in the annual switch-a-grade event.

This is when K5 visit grade 1 classes, Grade 1 visit grade 2 classes AND grade 2 return to Kindergarten!!

This allows for the children to get a glimpse of what next year's grade will look like.
And it allows the Grade 2s to come back to K for a full circle of their time at Junior.

And that's a wrap for Compost Club 2023-2024

Some butterflies were released in the forest today. 🦋

Les Éléphants joined les Lapins in the release. Some of them remembered their butterfly Kindergarten experience.

🐾Last Paw Recognition Assembly was held today.🐾

4 children from each class, and 2 children per K4, were selected to be awarded the top paw.
These children showed every monthly expectations when adults were not looking 👀

They were given a golden sticker and a SAJ bracelet.

Not a typical Monday at school today.

The turf has been reopened!!

In just a few days, the new K4 and K5 children will be walking through the doors to begin their academic year at Sherbrooke Academy.

If you have not done so already, please inform the school of your child's presence or absence.
This will help us plan for the event.

There will be an information session in the gym with regards to the school, SEED (daycare lunch programs) and what to expect when beginning this new step in preschool/elementary school.

When the construction of the turf yard brings the crowds.
The first soccer game will be played very soon!!!
