This session will focus on integrating takedowns right into submission systems for a seamless strategy from feet to finish.

Last night was Marife's last session at Infinum before her exciting move. During her time at Infinum Marife could either be seen throwing down in a tough round, welcoming a newer woman on the mats, or bringing joy to one of the many young kids who are part of our community.

Not to mention one of the wildest first tournament experiences ever that didn't even faze her. Warrior spirit to say the least.⚔️

Thank you to everyone who made our grand opening an absolutely spectacular event. Over 100 people came through today and we were fortunate to have many friends from out of town visit to congratulate the team.

This Saturday is our Grand Opening for our new location!

125 Sherwood Unit 34 from 11-1pm.

Food will be provided from 12-1pm

Bring both gi and no gi (open mat is both, group photo in gi)

We may have a short 20 minute technical showcase followed by open mat.

We are offering specials for new members so if you have a friend in the city looking to hop in, now is the time!

Every. Single. One of our gold medalists fought back from difficult performances in previous tournaments. Details aside, those prior competitions were rough on the minds of these competitors. The fact that they were able to adjust and jump back in is amazing--all won by submission. In one instance, it avenged a prior loss. In another, it happened in under 10 seconds.

This is what it is all about. It takes a lot of courage to compete for the first time. It takes even more heart to get back in when it doesn't go your way.

Many incredible performances this past weekend. A testament to the work and dedication the team has put in.

Also wishing a speedy recovery to Erick and Cole who sustained injuries during their matches that I believe would have otherwise turned in their favor.

Infinum BJJ is coming to West Brant in Brantford Artisan Village (Cordage Heritage District).

Our new facility will be over 4000 square feet and over 2000 square feet of mats to serve our incredible community.🥋

Brandon fought a technically dominant match with the bulk of takedowns, submission attempts, and transitions. Unfamiliar ruleset worked against us for brief and only transition his opponent scored against.

Hendrick 🥈

Cole also went 4-0 with 3 submissions in his weight division. The most variety of submission finishes we've likely ever had.

Bryce went 3-0 in his division in his blue belt debut with 100% submission rate (oldest guy in the division to boot)

Sam went 2-2 with much better wrestling and top control

Oleksiy went 2-2 with 2 submissions in his debut (barely missing the finals by refs decision)

Justin went 3-1 with 3 submissions and a loss in the finals in an absolute war.

Hendrick went 2-1, fighting back from a rough start where he got squished on his head and having his opponent do an incredibly reckless submission attempt that spurred a completely reasonable emotional response. Hendrick faced his fears and got back in there to win his second match and earn the silver. Couldn't be more proud of the heart he displayed yesterday.

Hawk went 1-2, unfortunately also applying an illegal submission that he did unintentionally, but he looked strong and will adjust for the next one!

We love Giles and wish his one opponent a speedy recovery from the Kimura he didn't tap to.

Common theme for our team? We rarely win matches by points. Our controls are only in service of the ultimate goal of grappling: submission.

This has been an incredible year for our team. Thank you to all the members and families for being a part of it.

Until then, we are giving our coaches a well earned and much needed break so we can be back in full force for the team in the new year. 💪

Fun fact: the family at were instrumental in supporting our academy both during our early growth and while we struggled through 2020-2021. It just so happens that they also raise amazing livestock and we spotted some fruits of their labour at ! (An incredible spot that has been unfairly treated by the city.)

The cool thing about this community is the diversity of backgrounds. Given the opportunity we always try to support local and that goes double for those who have supported us.

Our family can't wait to appreciate the hard work their family put into creating this food. 😁

Congrats to all who graded last night. We had 6 new blue belts and 2 purple belts on the team. A testament to the work and dedication everyone has put in.

Thank you to those who visited us for the shark tank portion of the grading. We had 47 people on the mats! Members from 5 other academies are here. This community is something else and we were honored to host everyone.

Congrats to Aiden the 2023 Provincials Champ!!

After a run of tough tournaments and several silvers, Aiden focused on his tactics and goals and earned the🥇with two submission victories along the way.

We had many first time competitors this weekend with tough matches. We're proud of their courage and eager to work with them to improve for the next one 💪🔥🥋

Entirely too much wrestling experience between them.

Had the opportunity to visit new location last weekend. It's great to see this sport thriving and expanding in Ontario. When I started, there were only a small handful of academies. Today there are dozens with phenomenal instructors, and Vaughan is lucky to have one of the most dedicated leading them.⚔️🥋

One thing you discover in this community is that it is overwhelmingly positive. A rising tide lifts all ships.
