Feeling Stressed? COVID-19 is impacting us all!
Many of us are feeling overwhelmed due to the uncertainty and changes to our daily routines associated with COVID-19. There are ways to minimize stress while we cope with it.
Symptoms of stress include:
• headaches
• jaw aches
• neck and back pain
• shoulder pain
• chest pain
To help manage stress prioritize your self-care! 😊
• socialize (even virtually) with a friend or family member
• laugh! 😊
• go for a walk
• stretch or practice light Yoga or other light exercise
• meditate (light movement and deep breaths to recentre your
mind), or have a bath
Remember there are people there to help you! We are happy to help you however we can, whether you require in person care or virtual visits. Both have been very successful at helping our clients. We can help you with specific symptoms of painful complaints you may have or simply giving you an appropriate exercise program to keep you moving at a level appropriate for you and give you some exercise to help optimize your physical and mental health. If you just have questions, we are happy to help! Contact us if you have any needs we may help you address.
Wishing you all a healthy start to 2022.

Has working from home caused you pain💥? It’s easy to fall into a pattern of working from a laptop, slouched on the couch – but over time this can cause back pain, neck pain, and headaches😖. Here are some tips for setting up your workspace at home!👇
1️⃣ Adjust your chair
•raise or lower your chair so your elbows are at 90 degrees and resting on your desktop
•if your feet no longer touch the ground, use a stool to rest your feet on
•for extra lumbar support, roll a towel up and place it in the curve of your low back
2️⃣ Adjust your monitor
•place it at about an arm’s reach away from you to avoid craning your neck or straining your eyes
•raise it up so the top of the screen is at your eye level (can use a stack of books if it isn’t adjustable)
•if using a laptop, raise it to the appropriate height and use an external keyboard
•if using 2 monitors, keep the primary one in front of you, OR place yourself directly in the middle of the two
3️⃣ Adjust your keyboard & mouse
•with your chair pulled in, elbows at 90 degrees, your keyboard should end up where your hands are resting
•your mouse should be directly beside the keyboard
•avoid reaching out to move the mouse – try to keep your elbow tucked close to your side
4️⃣ Move!
•we tend to start slouching after sitting for 15 minutes
•do some gentle stretches and movements with your neck and shoulders while sitting
•get UP and OUT of your chair once an hour!
We are always happy to help if your pain does not respond to these helpful hints. Call us so you can feel your best ASAP! 😅
We hope you are all keeping safe and well! 💕.
