You know who loves employee appreciation? US! Today, we're celebrating our amazing Project Manager, Ashley!
With a strong portfolio of over 171 successfully managed projects, Ashley takes pride in her role as a project manager to Go Top Shelf. She joined us in January of 2021 and has made life for everyone easier and more efficient. Ashley brings light to the Top Shelf team that is unique and inspiring!
“I got my start in project management through not-for-profit sporting associations as a teenager. This is where I found a true passion for setting deadlines and attaining key objectives for our client's goals. I began my official career as a project manager in 2013, actively building processes and templates through my own business. In the short time that I have been with Go Top Shelf, we now have created efficiencies to allow for a lot of growth and development.”
She graduated from Red Deer College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and furthered her education by acquiring a degree in Human Sciences in 2015. Ashley has also taken numerous courses on interpersonal skills, as personal development within her role is of the utmost importance. Utilizing her personal experience, that life has allowed her to have, has encouraged Ashley to grow as an individual and a professional. Understanding the dialectic in each project, she works carefully with our team to successfully develop and execute our project plans.
“Working within a variety of industries, I have had the pleasure of working with large companies such as Syncrude, Alberta Health Services, Alberta Children's Palliative Care Team, Calgary Cerebral Palsy, Lacrosse Canada, Evolve Alberta, and other sporting organizations. Gaining experience from each industry has been invaluable to the development of my process.”
When not at work, you will be able to find Ashley out in her garden or in one sports facility or another! Being an active mom to two growing boys - nothing is short of a well-planned adventure called life!
Thank you, Ashley, for all that you do for us! We couldn’t do it without you. 😍

We think it's time for a little employee appreciation. Today, we're celebrating our incredible developer, Mark!
Mark has been with Go Top Shelf for nearly half a year as a lead developer. He works on a variety of client projects developing and building websites for businesses and individuals. A problem-solving extraordinaire, Mark has always enjoyed building things from scratch. Mark spent a lot of time in his childhood building websites for fun and creating unique and funny content for each project.
He previously worked for a large marketing agency as their web developer and development manager for 4.5 years, and he brought his past experience from developing web and mobile apps effectively into the role. Mark studied at SAIT where he earned an IT Diploma with a major in Software Development, and what he loves most about his job is being able to create a visual product for clients and users to engage with and enjoy. Many of his classmates made a move to data analysis or consulting, but Mark finds his joy in creating an interactive website that appeals to different audiences.
He loves to share his knowledge with beginner developers, and he’s excited to work in an organization that values creativity and authenticity. Mark says he loves to chat with developers of all levels because, “growth in this industry is neverending, and if I can learn something I didn’t know before or teach someone something new, that’s pretty amazing.” His favourite part of being in a developer role is the flow of information within the community and getting to pursue his passion.
Thank you, Mark, for all you do! We're thrilled to have you on our team. 🤗
