The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) is pleased to announce that it has launched its fourth edition of the Global Disc Sports Community survey.

The 2023 survey is now available and will be open for the entire Flying Disc community through Sunday, the 9th of April 2023. In order to encourage as much participation as possible, this year’s survey is on the SurveyHero platform where it is available in 11 languages – English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (traditional), Japanese, Turkish and Arabic –and should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

FIGJAM are silver medalists in the Grand Master Open division at the 2022 WFDF World Masters Ultimate Club Championships!

I couldn't be more proud or honoured to have been a part of this team!

We battled injuries, covid, sore bodies, missed flights and sleepless nights to ultimately finish 2nd in the world!

This was my first time competing at an ultimate frisbee world championship and it's one I'll never forget!

Thanks especially Chris, Aaron, and John for running the team and making this all possible.

I will have a lot more to post but for now I wanted to say thank you to all of my family, friends, and fans for the support, encouragement, and being there throughout this tournament!

After 5 days and 8 games, FIGJAM has one game left...in the gold medal game against Surly (USA) on Canada Day!

We fought so hard in our semifinal game against Black Cans and Highlands (USA) and got redemption from our loss to them on Monday by winning 15-11 and securing our spot in the final of Grand Master Open at the 2022 WFDF World Masters Ultimate Club Championships!

We will be on the livestream again at 6pm local time (11am Calgary time) tomorrow, Friday July 1!

Day 2 at the 2022 WFDF World Masters Ultimate Club Championships.

FIGJAM had a tough second day, but there were also a lot of positives.

We played 2 games again and came out with 2 losses, both of them on universe point.

In our first game of the day, we played Tombstone, another Canadian team, and battled the entire game. They took half 8-7 but we battled back in the second half and tied it at 13-13, next point wins (universe). We started on defense, which is always a disadvantage and they were able to work it in clean for the win, 14-13.

In our second game, we played Black Cans and Highlands from the USA. This was another battle, and again they took half 8-7. Again we battled back in the second half and tied it at 12-12, universe point. Again, we were on defense. Again, they worked it in clean for the 13-12 win.

Where that puts us - we have a must win game tomorrow against Quarantine from Canada. At this point, every game is a must win game. Only one more round robin game left on Wednesday before we move into the quarterfinals on Thursday - which is where we intend to be.

More rain today but thankfully a good bit of sun too!
We gained a lot of experience today with the two losses that will help us in the bigger games coming up. We know what we are capable of - we saw it in the first game against Johnny Walker - so it's time we start putting it together.

On a personal note, I had much better pulls today - it feels good to keep dialling them in. My knee is feeling stronger than yesterday and I managed my body better as well - making sure to get a lot of calories and water. It's tough when it's raining but it's so important to keep the body fuelled properly.

Looking forward to competing in the 2022 WFDF World Masters Ultimate Club Championships with FIGJAM in the Grand Master Open division.

Not only is this my first time ever competing at an ultimate world championships, it's my first time playing a big ultimate tournament since Canadian Nationals in 2019, where I won a silver medal with Flux.

We have a great team both people and talent wise, and I'm excited to take the field. I've been working as hard as possible to get my knee better and get my body in a place where I'll be able to be a factor when I take the field. My goal is to support my teammates, play my best, and enjoy the experience!

It will also be my first time in Ireland! LET'S GOOOOOO!!!!
