Happy New Year!!
What an amazing start to 2023!!!
We just wanted to say how incredible the UCWDC World championships were last week.
We are so proud of how well each and every student danced at the event. No matter their placements or position on the podium, there was improvement from every student. We applaud the dedication and hard work that everyone put in to their dancing and to say that we are so proud of them all is such an understatement.
To the ladies that that Bryan was blessed to dance with in pro/am...Laura Watson, Ruth Cowan, Pamela Bannick, Cathy Perrotta and Andrea Warkentin you all brought your A game and looked so amazing on the floor.
Congratulations to Travis Lambe and Pamela Bannick who, at their second time only at worlds, showed an incredible improvement in their dancing. You should be so proud of yourselves. We sure are! Your smiles and energy are infectious and you brought that to the floor with you and in your cheerleading all week.
To top the week off, Michael Po***ck and Laura Watson danced in their couples division and we can not be more proud to announce that Calgary has gained 2 new WORLD CHAMPIONS!! Michael and Laura are now the 'UCWDC Diamond Division IV World Champions!!!
Such an awesome week for everyone!!
Can't wait to get back in the studio with you all to keep working for your next goals.

We are down to the last couple of days at the mall.
Please come and get anything that you might've left at the studio...
If it is not ours we will be tossing it out or donating it.
There are dance shoes left on the shelves and some clothes left in the change room.
The last day for lessons or practicing will be this Friday the 5th.
Then we will be tearing out and packing up.
If you know that you left something there but can't come before Friday...PM us as we will be there next week packing.

Please Note...
We have decided to cancel the social dance for tomorrow (Saturday October 9th)
With confusing regulations and concerns of health safety foremost in our minds we have decided it is best to cancel.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.
At this point we are still planning on hosting the social dances on the 16th, 23rd and the Halloween dance on the 30th.
We hope you will join us for those.

Good morning dancers!
So, as I'm sure you all heard already, the new restrictions have been decided by the government for businesses here in Alberta.
From our understanding, these restrictions do not come into effect fully until the 20th of September. So until then (this weekend) we will remain unchanged in our policies at the studio.
We will still require masks to enter the mall and studio, and masks should be worn at all times that you are not dancing.
We will still hold our social dance this Saturday 7-10pm. We will keep you posted on regulations for that if things change.
We will continue to thank you all for your patience and understanding through all of these changes.
We will do everything we can to remain open through these crazy times but we also take all of our student's health very seriously.

DANCE CANCELLED TONIGHT
POSTPONED UNTIL SATURDAY AUGUST 21ST
We are so sorry to announce that our social dance for tonight will be cancelled.
Unfortunately the air conditioning is having issues at the mall and with a 35 degree day today we can not guarantee that we will be up and cool by tonight. It is currently 26-27 degrees inside.
Please accept our apologies as we were looking forward to seeing you all later.
We will postpone this dance until next Saturday August 21st. Hope you can join us next week instead!!

WE ARE OPENING!!! Thursday June 10th, 2021.
It looks like Stage 2 is allowing us to open so
we are going to start out with 3 days a week.
Thursdays 12:00 - 9:00pm
Fridays 12:00 - 9:00pm
Saturdays 10:00 - 6:00pm
We will be allowing;
Practicing (singles or same household couples)
Private lessons (singles or same household couples)
NO GROUP CLASSES (yet)
Please note we will be requiring ALL teachers to wear masks at all times.
Students must wear masks at ALL times unless exercising intensely.
Please maintain 3 meters distance between each person dancing at all times.
Also please understand, there is a small change in practice fees. 1 hour practice will now be $7.50/person (including tax)
Monthly membership will be $82.50/person (including tax)
We can not wait to get y'all back into the studio dancing...June 10th can not come fast enough!!

Well... what can I say...
The Alberta government has updated the regulations for the stage 1 opening on February 8th.
Now...
-There is NO individual practicing allowed.
-One- on- one private lessons are now regulated with the teacher remaining 9ft from students, so there is no closed dance position allowed. (No touching allowed)

So... we have decided it is best to not open with this first stage.
We had hoped that we would be able to allow for practicing and private lessons but this does not look like the case at this point.
We will be looking forward to a possible opening at the next stage or a lightening of these regulations.

If all the numbers look good on Monday, we will be opening for limited hours of operation.
HOURS will be:
Monday- Friday 12:00-8:00pm
Saturday- 10:00am -6:00pm
Sunday - CLOSED

The only services available will be:
-One on one private lessons. (Or one on two from the same household) (Teachers please email to book space)
-Individual practicing (by appointment ONLY)
