Have you heard of Dirty Keto?
Well my day yesterday was an example of that.
Although this was 1g of carbs this is not my style of keto that makes me feel best.
....side note I did have celery with my BBQ smokey 🤣
What caused this?
I worked through lunch
Didnt prepare and have foods at work
Pushed to far past my eating window
3 hour drive
Home late wanted something quick.
Today's Meals....I felt very summery today with the 30 degree weather here 🌞🌡Deviled Eggs, fruit in my salad, and cold chicken.
18 Hour Fast ( with Ketones ) and green tea
Lunch simple snack plate, deviled eggs, tomato slices, celery with whipped cream cheese.
Dinner was fresh romaine from a friends garden, strawberries, feta, red onion with balsamic dressing....only 1 tbsp I have been measuring. Side of meal prepped chicken breast cold.
I didnt have the gym today so I didnt need that extra meal.
Got lots of water in today and electrolytes

This was 29 carbs( 18 Net Carbs ) 1126 calories
Am-Blue Ocean PTK 🍹
coffee break- green tea ☕
1230- prawns cooked in coconut oil&tumeric, coleslaw wrap🌮 ( wrap was 11 carbs and 3 net carbs)
5pm-had 2 bbq smokies and left over coleslaw
730-830 was my workout class leg day 😫
9pm- plain Greek yogurt high protein, strawberries, sliced almonds and cinnamon ( greek yogurt was 7 carbs)
BBQ FRIDAY......yes please 🤤🥩
Super Simple Super Keto. Steak with fibrous veggies and my side of fat is creamed blue cheese.
Dinner has been super simple this week....here are some inspiration if your tired of the same old same old.
I made Chicken wings oven roasted and they turned out super crispy....the secret parchment paper in the oven 350 flipped once about 25 mins and sprinkled with parm cheese.
I made a big slab of salmon so it's on repeat this week. I am on a Kale kick this week so I did a simple Kale salad one night with feta and half the fat renes poppy seed dressing. Then the next night I used Kale to make a ceaser salad with boathouse ceaser dressing. I apply the dressing and massage it in right away to soften up the kale for when in ready to eat.

Getting Back to Basics
When I first started Keto I ate the same thing every day at the same time for my first morning meal.
Sounds boring right? I'm not saying its the right way it was just the way I was able to change my eating lifestyle, and stay consistent I had to keep it simple, I didnt want to be over thinking it, stressing about food or macros.
Below is an example of my 11 am meal which came after my 16 hour fasting window. This was the right balance for me gave me some protein a dose of healthy fats, and some carbs.
I have been overthinking my food lately and slipping up more than my "Friday Fun Meal" So I am going back to basics and keeping it keto simple.

Dinner tonight I ketofied one of my summer fave salads and had it with some chicken tender strips.
To be honest I could of ate it alone it was so filling.

Red onion
The Dressing is key🔑
3/4 cup avocado mayo
1tbsp Apple cider vinegar
2tbsp of granual sweve
Pinch salt, pepper to taste

I am in love with my combo....cold brew, keto envy (mint chocolate) splash of heavy cream and couple drops of liquid stevia.
Lunch was simple today, diet doctor seed crackers, tuna salad and caprese style appy lol @ Campbell River, British Columbia
Last Night I was listening to our company call and there was an 85 year old lady who has done our Keto reboot monthly for over a year.
I was so inspired by what she said and what she experienced and how she feels at 85 she is living her best life and that she feels like she will live to over 100.
I didn't do the reboot this month but I sure the heck will not miss next month or the following months after...... if an 85 year old can do it monthly so can I.

My weekend was filled with family 💜 and food and I wouldnt of changed it..... so today was about getting back on track and keeping it simple.
🧀Lunch: snack plate was diet doctor seed crackers with butter and cheese slices, a meat stick with a side of mixed nuts
🍳Dinner: was breakfast.... fried eggs with fast fry steaks
Sometimes you go off plan and that's ok because it's not always about going off but that you can get back on.
As I stress this is a lifestyle for me so I am not 💯 keto all the time and that is what works for me being flexible.
I 💜 podcasts especially when driving....Shawn Myner The Keto for Woman show is my fave. This episode #96 is a great one to listen to if you have hit a plateau on keto or things just aren't going your way.
This episode was so good and it was like she was talking about my journey 🤷♀️🤦♀️

🕝 Fasted 18 hours just my ketones and water
🥒 Lunch: was my take on pin wheels.....summer salami with whipped cream cheese and garlic dill pickle. With half serving of almonds
🌮 Dinner: was my take on keto chicken fajitas.....rotisserie chicken breast with bell peppers and taco seasoning epicure.
*remember I take a ketone supplement that supports my ketone levels, gives me added energy and added appetite control. I will tend to be over 20 carbs but never more than 30. (red and yellow bell peppers are higher in carbs) so you could just use green. *

Yesterdays Meals......I'm repeat offender...except my dinner I call fridays "Free Fridays" it has kept me sane during this journey I eat something I want whether it's on plan or not.
1030 am - Chia Pudding with berries, almonds
130 pm - left over salmon with a Kale ceaser salad
Not pictured Dinner was a Costco Polish Hotdog yes with the bun and a Ceaser by the fire to end the perfect night.
Saturday I just wake up, get back on track, drink my ketones and carry on
I am mixing things up in my life 🤪
Normally I fast till 1pm sometimes 2pm when I take a lunch. Which is fine I feel great fasted but my body has been stuck so I am going to give it a shock.
I will be eating 3 meals a day still Keto/Low Carb focused. With my new workout class I just feel I need a little more.
Here is an example of my 3 meals today:
10 am
chia seed pudding with berries and almond slices
130pm
kale salad feta and berries , and chicken breast
6pm
BBQ salmon and Greek salad.
Tonights Dinner...
Cajan spice salmon in butter with a side of creamed spinach....🤤🤤🤤
I cant believe I waited this long to try this side dish it was amazing. I would make this again with my seed crackers as it would be a good dip as well.
