Update...our last day of baking will be Friday, December 29. Re-opening sometime in early February...

Here we grow again...we are moving.
We will be closing December 30th.
Our plans are to reopen sometime at the end of January or beginning of February.
We will be posting our new address and hours of operation soon. We are not going far...in the meantime we will be baking our buns off. See you soon...

HERE WE GROW…

Magpies Bakery is excited to announce we have purchased The Back Porch Coffee. The Back Porch Coffee Roastery was founded in 2001 and originally operated out of Agassiz using a 1919 flame roaster. The coffee grew to be a local favorite and reputation spread beyond the Fraser Valley. As long time fans of Back Porch coffee, we are proud to continue to offer this unique flame roasted coffee of either single origin or in our signature blends.

Flame roasting in small batches using the unique 1919 fire roaster gives our coffee a distinct flavour profile not easily replicated by other roasters. Coffee roasting depends on a keen eye and ear as roasts are checked for distinct color and shade once the distinct cracking of the beans are detected.

Currently coffee is available at Magpies Bakery in Chilliwack at Magpies Bakery, or Local Harvest. In Agassiz you can find our coffee at SuperValu, Agassiz Produce, Creekside Dairy and Cabin Fever Junction. Whether bold, blonde, dark or medium roast, single origin or one of our signature blends, everyone will be sure to find their favourite.
