Reza has worked as a physiotherapist for more than a decade and has a Doctorate in Physiotherapy (PT. PhD). He is experienced in the assessment and treatment of patients with various musculoskeletal and neurological disorders as well as sports-related injuries. He uses manual therapy, hands-on techniques, and exercise prescription to provide diagnosis and treatment of movement system impairments. Reza is also qualified in vestibular rehabilitation and TMJ diseases. He also has a certificate in Acupuncture and Dry Needling. His research and publications deal extensively with ACL injuries and rehabilitation.

This laboratory testing will check 189 foods, plus a Candida Screen and would provide a comprehensive report.

A food sensitivity is an inflammatory response of the immune system to a food trigger or allergen. Sometimes the symptoms are almost immediate and this makes cause and effect easily discernible.

However, often there are no immediate symptoms. This type of food sensitivity is commonly known as a delayed food sensitivity. In a majority of cases, delayed food sensitivity reactions are insidious and chronic. It is only after months or years of continuous exposure that the wear and tear on the body from the chronic inflammatory response manifests itself in symptoms.

Sensitivity testing provides a quick and easy way for practitioners to discover potential causes of sensitivity reactions and sensitivity-related disease. When patients remove reactive foods, they report improvement in symptoms, elimination of long-standing health issues, and, in general, a more satisfying quality of life.

Sometimes it is not food sensitivities but it’s the infection, Candida. Candida is normally found in very small amounts in the human intestinal tract; small amounts do not cause problems in a healthy person. Too much Candida can result in symptoms very similar to those caused by food allergies. Moderate or High on the Candida screen means that your body has produced high numbers of antibodies to Candida at some time and should be treated to maintain optimal gut health.

✨Meet Kyle Sampson, our Registered Kinesiologist!

Kyle was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. He is also a certified personal trainer, obtaining his certificate from the American Council on Exercise. Kyle also has taken courses with focus on joint mobilization and self-myofascial release techniques.

Kyle has grown up with an athletic background, playing rugby, wrestling and volleyball for Sir Charles Tupper Secondary. He has 8+ years experience with bodybuilding and weight training, 4+ years with personal training and has placed 2nd in the Leigh Brandt Muscle Classic bodybuilding competition in 2016 in the Junior’s category at the age of 20.

Suffering through many injuries over the years himself, he has a deep understanding of the varying levels of sport and work related injuries that can dampen the quality of life one experiences. Kyle’s focus is to first improve the overall biomechanics of the body in order to develop a firm base which can later be built upon with strengthening and mobilization techniques.

✨Meet Dr. Jennifer Cham, our Naturopathic Physician!

Dr. Cham began her career as a registered nurse, working in acute medicine, critical care, IV therapy and PICC teams. She taught nursing as a clinical instructor with the UBC School of Nursing from 2005 - 2014.

She continued her education in naturopathic medicine which focuses on health promotion, prevention and treatment of acute and chronic illness, and optimization of human performance. After completing her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, she took courses with the American Association of Orthopaedic Medicine for prolotherapy and PRP training.

Dr. Cham is certified in pharmaceutical prescribing, IV therapy, prolotherapy, PRP, and neural therapy. Her passion is helping each person live a healthier, more energetic, and vibrant life.

She also teaches IV therapy to health care professionals as a certified member of the Canadian Vascular Access Association.

Dr. Cham is a member of the UBC Women's Hockey Alumni Executive, Whistler Mountain ski patroller since 2019, and an RCMP Auxiliary member since 2005.

She is fluent in english and in her spare time, she is skiing, biking, paddleboarding, or hiking.
