CNETS 2024 NET RESEARCH GRANT COMPETITION
CNETS is committed to improving the quality of life and survival of NET patients across Canada. We have supported NET cancer research since 2011, with independent competition management commencing in 2016.
2024 marks CNETS' ninth (9) year of significantly contributing to NET cancer research, awarding over thirty (30) NET Cancer Research Grants, through our national grant program.
The NET patient community has continuously demonstrated a solid commitment to supporting CNETS fundraising efforts for NET cancer research. A huge thanks to our Canadian donors, fundraisers, and named funders who make it possible!
CNETS is pleased to announce the 2024 NET Research Grant Competition, which will provide grants for NET cancer research projects up to a maximum of $40,000 per project.

November 10, 2024 - INCA’s 2024 NET Cancer Day theme is NETs are easily missed. Help us change this. The incidence of neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) is rising, and symptom awareness is key to earlier diagnosis and, ultimately, better outcomes.

HOOFING IT 2024 RAISES $30,809 FOR NET CANCER RESEARCH
Between June 1 and September 30, 2024, we asked the Canadian NET cancer community to come together and join or donate to CNETS' summer-long virtual fundraising campaign, HOOFING IT 2024, for Neuroendocrine Cancer Research.
The continued engagement, commitment and dedication of the NET cancer community from coast to coast was outstanding. With 4 teams, 16 registered participants (plus their extended family, friends, and supporters), and over 150 donors, HOOFING IT raised $30,809 for Neuroendocrine Cancer Research in Canada.

This unique initiative not only lights up the skyline but also shines a spotlight on raising awareness of NET Cancer Day. By participating in this visual display, we collectively affirm our commitment to supporting research, education, improved diagnostics and treatments and advocacy efforts aimed at making a positive impact on the lives of individuals diagnosed with NET cancer.

50% of neuroendocrine cancer patients have stage 4 cancer by the time they are diagnosed. Average delay of correct diagnosis globally is 5 years.
