Until September 7th you can pick your own adoption fee when adopting an animal from us! 🙀 The same adoption process and policies still apply!

Moose is a gentle giant with a heart as big as his fluffy frame! 🐾🐈‍⬛

Despite his formidable size, Moose is a sweetheart who loves nothing more than a good chin scratch and a cozy spot to nap in. 😻 Do you have room in your heart (and on your couch) for a cat as purr-fectly charming as Moose? 💚

Myla is one of our volunteers at the shelter and she decided that she also wanted to raise money for the animals in our care! 💕 She organized a walk-a-thon and a lemonade stand. 🍋

Her goal was to raise $500, but she was able to fundraise almost DOUBLE her goal! 🙀 In total, she donated $955 to our shelter! We are so grateful for all of her support, and seeing the next generation being so thoughtful and caring gives us hope for the future. 🥰

Gunner’s favourite part of the day is his afternoon walks with our volunteers! 🦮

Our volunteers make such a big impact on the lives of our animals at the shelter. ❤️‍🩹 Often times, the shelter can be a new and overwhelming place for the animals, but our volunteers give them the love and reassurance they need. 🥰

We are always looking for more volunteers to help care for our dogs, cats, and critters. 🐶🐱🐰 It can be a messy job at times, but it is also incredibly fulfilling! If you have some spare time on your hands and want to get involved, you can join our team of volunteers at aarcs.ca/volunteer! 🤝

This beautiful boy has been at our shelter for almost 3 months, so we are really hoping he finds his purrfect match soon! 🤞 He is a very loving cat, who enjoys getting head scratches and attention from our volunteers. 🥰

Last week our shelter welcomed 4 new kittens into this world! 🥹

Mama Calcite had just recently came into our care, and gave birth to 4 beautiful babies on August 5th! We named them Albite, Flourite, Alunite, Diorite (rock themed)! 🪨 They are all doing really well, and Calcite is taking excellent care of them. 😻

She is quite a shy girl, but she’s slowly learning that she is safe and loved in our care. We are so grateful that she gets the chance to take care of her with a full belly and in a calm and quiet environment. ❤️‍🩹

We will keep everyone updated on how these little ones are doing. And once they are weaned and cleared by our vet, they will be available for adoption! 💚
