Procrastination is active participation in self-sabotage.

Here are 4 ways to tackle procrastination:

1. Clarify your tasks to eliminate ambiguity and uncertainty.

2. Change your self-concept and mindset by translating negative beliefs about procrastination into positive ones.

3. Tackle your most important task for 30 minutes in the morning.

4. Recognize that procrastination is a form of ungratefulness—honour your potential by choosing action.

Practice delaying the time it takes for you to come to a conclusion.

Both sides of the brain are processing information, and both sides of the brain are going to process the information quickly.

Allow yourself a few seconds of discomfort before you reach a conclusion.

Give your left logical side of the brain a chance to process the information and come up with an appropriate response in the context of what the right irrational brain communicates to you.

If you're experiencing a moment of fear or nervousness, give yourself a few seconds.

While you ponder that emotional conclusion, give your body a moment to breathe and create a rational conclusion.

When the hippocampus, the part of the body that activates physiological responses, receives information from both sides of the brain, it will reduce the intensity you may be accustomed to feeling from anxiety or fear.

Staying injury-free and saving time is the new name of the game.

In my early 20’s I could spend all day at the gym (literally all day since I worked in a gym).

I would workout for 2 hours in the morning, then another hour in the evening.

I lived and breathed the gym and lifting heavy ass weights.

But as I’ve gotten older, you’ve probably noticed this too, priorities change.

My time is more valuable.

As is yours‼️

One way to save time is to rely on HIIT instead of walking on a treadmill for half an hour ⏰

I’ve also learned how valuable it is to protect my energy and my body ⚠️

You can’t be out of commission when you’ve got to keep your household together

A great way to remain healthy and injury-free is to try pause reps and tempo reps.

Lifting heavy is important but so is protecting your joints.

Longevity and sustainability is the name of the game for long-term results and performing well into old age.

Save these tips for yourself and share them with a friend who would benefit from reading this 💪

But what will you eat??

03/01/2022

Have you been guilty in the past of letting other people f*ck up your goals?🤷‍♀️

🧠What are you doing to build an unf*ckable mindset? (Let me know in the comments)👇

🚩"Why do you have to be so 'healthy'?"
🚩"Have a drink, why are you boring?"
🚩"Are you really going to exercise again?"

👆You have probably heard one of these before while on your health and fitness journey, right?🤔

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦While your family and friends may not want to intentionally deter you away from our goals. The Truth is subconsciously, this kind of language can actually have a detrimental effect on your goals. However...that is only if you allow the language to cause you to lose sight of your goals.

📍Remember the reason why you started in the first place.

💯At Warrior Body, we believe it is crucial to consistently work on building an unbreakable mindset or how we like to call it, "An 'Unf*ckable mindset."

🙌 If you want to enroll on the LAST program, you will need to create truly sustainable results while working on foundational habits and behavior change, message us to speak to a coach.

I CAN’T BELIEVE MORE PEOPLE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS!!!

I’m not even joking…

Today I witnessed a mom working out..

Her kiddo came along had a ton of energy, looked at it like playing and enjoying their time running along mom.

Something that I noticed while she was pushing the sled up and down the turf for a stupid amount of lengths.. Is that despite the mom suffering through this gruelling group Bootcamp…

… and trust me, I recognize the face of suffering..

She kept her smile the whole time ear to ear while her kiddo ran next to her enjoying every second of it.

I believe the takeaway is that your “WHY” can help you get through any of the difficult times you will experience.

Her child may have inspired her to push harder because her why (being healthy and a role model for her kid) is what is keeping her consistent.

It has nothing to do with feeling like it, or waiting until she felt motivated because I can tell you she was neither of those things in that moment lol.

She was absolutely kicking ass.

Despite things getting difficult, you can BE amazing WITHOUT feeling amazing.

And another thing, she’s gotta keep an eye on her kid, nobody should enjoy watching suffering that much.

She’s changing the generational health of her family.

Hope your day treats you as good as you look

-Kyle

PS.

That’s just the narrative that I took inspiration from in that moment.

I would imagine she was for sure doing a lot more swearing in her mind and a lot less inspirational dialogue.

𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗕𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗡𝗨𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗪𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 😬

Share this with a friend if you found this helpful! 🙌🏼

All we see on social media nowadays are extremes.. “lose 7 lbs in 7 days” kinda stuff, but these often lead to these five detrimental mistakes. 🙃

𝟭. 𝗘𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝘁

Hello ladies, have you ever heard of hormones? You know how they make you go a little crazy sometimes? Cutting out fat is only going to make this worse, not to mention we need fat to absorb ESSENTIAL vitamins from food!

2. Cutting out carbs

Craving sugar before bed? Or maybe in the afternoon? 🤭Could be because you’re not giving your body the fuel it needs during the day.

Sugar is the quickest and easiest form of carbs and when you’re deficient in carbs, your body goes for whatever it can get.

𝟯. 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘁

You know which diet is finally gonna work for you? 👏🏼THE ONE YOU STICK WITH.

Consistency over a longer period of time is the only way to see sustainable results.

𝟰. 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻, 𝘃𝗲𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽, 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿

When you cut things out, you put yourself in a mindset of LACK, and no one wants to be in lack.

Instead 👉🏼 focus on what can I increase with my daily good habits that will naturally take up the space of the not so good habits?

𝟱. 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀

Similar to cutting out carbs, when you skip meals it only leads you to overeating later on in the day.

Your body gets so ravenously hungry that you no longer have the capacity to process what you’re putting in your body and instead just mindlessly eat everything in sight.

Instead? Plan out your meals ahead of time to have a balance of protein, carbs, fats, and veggies to keep your blood sugar stable and avoid those energy crashes and binges 👌🏼

Have you ever had to cut bad influences out of your life? Or are you allowing them to overstay their welcome?

You are the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with.

I used parents as an example because they are the archetypes that will influence who we become at the very beginning.

If you were born into a family that were not very good influences, should you stick with them just because they are blood?

Is it because you’ve known them forever in a friend situation?

Is it a relationship? Are you too scared to leave an unhealthy relationship?

It’s okay to grow away from influences that are not serving you.

Other peoples feelings are not worth your mental health.

Find the influences that charge you up, not the ones that drain you with bu****it and gossip.

Find the influences that encourage growth, not the ones that are comfortably complacent not willing to expand their mind.

The best part…. it is WITHIN OUR CONTROL to be able to choose who we spend the most time with.

So if you’re not happy with who your hanging out with, Or any of the folks influencing you…. Your are willingly choosing to make yourself miserable. That’s 💯 on you.

Do what’s right, not what’s easy.

What are your thoughts? Should you keep spending time with or dating s**tty people just because you’ve known them forever? Comment below

Your relationship with food is personal, unique, and requires regular work to keep it healthy.

Though it may seem impossible to fix your bad relationship with food, it’s possible to get to a state in which food no longer controls you and instead fuels your overall well-being.

As you navigate your relationship with food, remember that food isn’t inherently good or bad.

It’s the labels you put on it that give it power.

A healthy, good relationship with food means welcoming all foods with no restrictions, seeing the value in food beyond calories, and remembering that your value as a human isn’t dictated by the food you eat.

🙌 That feeling of getting your shït together has got to be one of the greatest hasn't it?

It starts with:

"Right. That's it. No more. Things change from today."

Getting your shït together can look wildly different to different people.

It might be:

✍️ Getting more organised at work with time blocking tasks, setting boundaries and finishing on time to help stress levels.

🍱 Meal prepping and planning food in advance to stick to a nutrition inspired goal or waste less food each week.

🏋️‍♀️ Getting your workouts organised and planned in advance. Booking yourself into classes or arranging to exercise with a workout buddy.

💧 Getting more hydrated rather than living off coffee and soda. Setting those water goals and smashing them.

🧺 Getting on top of the laundry and household chores, or decluttering.

💰 Saving money and sorting out your finances. Stopping the emotional spending and sticking to a budget.

📚 Completing that course or studying in advance for that qualification rather than leaving it until the last minute.

😩 Working on reducing stress and adopting self-care practices that will help you relax and recharge.

🛌 Establishing a morning or evening routine to help with productivity or increase sleep.

Or it might be a combination of a few of the above!

💥 The point is that once you start getting your shït together in one area of your life, it often leaks into other areas and acts as a positive catalyst for change.

How are you getting your shït together? Let me know in the comments!

How To Handle Getting Nervous

01/27/2022

Why We Are Hesitant To Leave Our Comfort Zone.

Today I want to talk to you about why we are hesitant to get out of our comfort zone.

For starters, we are human beings, and since the moment we were born we are programmed to try and be as comfortable as possible.

Our bodies literally change when we get uncomfortable.

When we get too hot, we start sweating to cool down our body.

We get too cold, we start shivering to generate more heat.

And while feeling comfortable is very desirable, it’s not included in our recipe of success to accomplish our goals.

Being uncomfortable occurs

By accepting that you can get better in something, because that technically means you aren’t as good as you could be, and no one ENJOYS feeling “not good enough”.

And by realizing that trying something new is terrifying, There is a very high chance that you aren’t going to succeed the first time.

You literally have to be willing to fail.

It may feel impossible RIGHT NOW, it is challenging RIGHT NOW, it is uncomfortable RIGHT NOW.

But wouldn’t you say it’s worth all of those feelings if you knew at the end of the uncomfortable moments you will be better and you have nothing to worry about?

Remember that being uncomfortable is temporary pain intended for long term gain‼️

Is there a difference between a mentor and coach??

I go through my opinion of the differences and spoiler…

Let me know what you think below.

I’m Not Going To Be Outworked!?

Have you ever heard someone say or maybe you’ve said “No matter what, I’m not going to be outworked!”?

Because at some point you’ve been told that maximum effort will never fail you and that if you want better results, you just have to work harder. I know I have.

I tried to always have the mentality that I had control over my work ethic, so I was going to work my ass off in everything I did.

No one would ever doubt my work ethic. Sounds great, right??

Until it isn’t... at what point does this mentality go from helpful to hurtful?

It becomes hurtful when trying too hard creates more pressure.

I HAVE to perform well.. so let’s work harder.

It becomes hurtful when trying to hard creates more self-criticism.

Nothing is good enough... so let’s work harder.

And it becomes more hurtful when it creates more anxiety.

I’m going to be a failaure if I don’t do well... so let’s work harder.

At some point, we have to become aware when the hard work is hindering our performance more than helping it.

We have to be able to take a step back and look at all the work we have put in, trust the work we’ve put in, trust ourselves, and go accomplish what we’ve set out to do.

The key isn’t to try harder, it’s to trust more‼️

Sitting In Our Negative Thoughts

Today I want to talk about how easy it is to sit in our suffering with the negatives in our life.

We are naturally programmed to notice the negative in our life before anything else.

We also spend more time dwelling on the negative.

So when we see something first, and we spend more time on it, all of a sudden this one negative seems to out weight all the positive.

This is when we find ourselves in a downward spiral.

For example, I put up one of my videos and I get 20 comments. 19 are awesome and encouraging and 1 is negative.

Which one do you think gets the most of my attention?

Naturally the one negative.

Bloody hell, I have to FIGHT the urge to sit there and let that one negative comment ruin my day.

Part of being mentally resilient is being able to notice when we are getting stuck on the ONE bad thing.

My challenge for you is this.

1) Notice the negative, see if there is something you can take away from it.

2) Notice the positive, and see if there is something you can take away from that and

3) Walk away. Let it go! Good or bad. Time for the next rep.

01/23/2022

If you’re struggling with motivation and never seeming to not want to do the tasks you know will progress you forward. This video takes you through how I think when I’m trying to get my s**t done.

I feel ya, feeling unmotivated seems to be happening more, but we still want to accomplish our goals.

We do this by coaching ourselves through it, and seeing the situation for what it is… a choice.

When we recognize this we take ownership of the choice we make. We are empowered to consciously decide to donor or not.

At least this way, recognizing our choices and who we want to become, we are no longer the victims of the circumstance because we made the choice.

01/22/2022

How Do You View Failure?

Today I want to talk about shifting our perspective on how we view failure.

Typically, we DO NOT WANT TO FAIL. Why?

1 We don’t want to be embarrassed.
2 We don’t want to look inept.
3 We don’t want to let our team, our coaches, or our family down.

But WHY? No one ever strives to show others their weaknesses. We as human beings have a tough time being vulnerable and letting our walls down.

Now hear me out – There are a couple of things you should fear, and those are the things you can control.

Fear of having a bad attitude, Fear of having a lack of effort, Fear of not being prepared.

Because you have all the power in the world to control those. What I don’t want you to fear is.. Making mistakes Challenging yourself

Being embarrassed.

Because if you truly know it’s going to make you better, who cares what everyone else thinks? Failure can be an incredibly powerful tool. if you let it be. So we need to stop.

Seriously. Stope fearing failure and start embracing it. Be the person who isn’t afraid to fail today‼️

𝟯 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻...

𝟭. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 (“𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝘂𝘁”)

Digesting and metabolizing protein burns calories. This isn’t going to make up a massive amount of your daily calories, but the simple act of digesting protein will require some caloric burn.

When compared to fat and carbs, an increase in protein consumption can account for anywhere from 100-300+ extra calories burned a day just from choosing protein over the other two macros.

𝟮. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗲, 𝗖𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴

If you’ve ever had a late night craving hit (and if you are a human you most certainly have) then you know they are just about impossible to resist.

So your best defense against them is to try and control them from ever happening. One of the best tools for this is adequate protein consumption, particularly in the early part of the day.

Set yourself up for a winning evening by getting your protein in early!

𝟯. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀, 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆.

Food and nutrition isn’t just about losing weight, despite what the media wants you to think.

Don’t get fooled into thinking less is more.

In fact, one thing I coach is that by eating more high quality food you will have more energy to move your body, train, and live a vital life.

This includes building quality muscle tissue, which is proven to increase your health span, metabolism, and quality of life.

So use protein as a tool to keep that tissue healthy, recovering quickly, and pain free.

Evaluating Your Performance

Today I want to talk about evaluating your performance.

Think about after a bad performance, how do you evaluate yourself afterwards?

Absolutely dissect it! What happened? Why did I perform poorly? Where was I at mentally? What did I do wrong in my preparation? Right?!

Now, think about a good performance, how do you evaluate yourself afterwards? DID you even evaluate yourself after?

It’s so easy to chalk it up a good performance as a win and not think twice about it.

The problem is by doing that we are missing out on crucial information when it comes to building awareness and knowing ourselves better.

It’s natural to examine why we fail, but we often forget to examine why we succeed. So, my challenge for you is to ask yourself THE SAME post-performance questions regardless of how you perform.

So even when you perform well, ask yourself.. What happened?

Why did I perform well?

Where was I at mentally?

What did I do right in my preparation?

It’s important to know what created a poor performance, but it’s also important to know what created a good one!

01/20/2022

Are You Constantly Comparing Yourself To Others?

So I’ve been thinking a lot about how much we are constantly comparing ourselves to others.

When we are comparing ourselves to others, we end up valuing their opinion of us more than we are valuing our opinion of us.

When we take a step back and think about that, we realize we are giving power to things we shouldn’t be giving our power to.

The real problem lies in that it is impossible to please everyone. As the old saying goes, “if you try and please everyone, you will please no one.”

So 2 things you have permission to take action on…

1) Stop trying to please everyone
2) Stop worrying what other people will think about you or whatever it is you are doing.

Figure out what you stand for and buy into that fully!

What’s crazy is if you will do those 2 things, if you stop trying to please everyone and you stop worrying about what other people think, you will start to act differently, you will start to talk differently, and you will start to live differently.

And then you know what happens after that?

Everyone is going to start wondering what happened to you! What changed?

And next thing you know everyone is gravitating towards you because you know exactly who you are and exactly what you want and that sense of genuineness is more impactful than anything else you could ever do.

Don’t just know yourself. Own yourself
