Obesity Canada's Director of Advocacy and Public Engagement, Ian Patton, was interviewed for this piece about the upcoming launch of Wegovy in Canada, along with Dr. Macklin and Dr. Sajwani. We also need to recognize that for many Canadians, having a treatment available, does not mean it will be accessible. Along with these advancements in treatment and management of obesity, we need policy and coverage for all the pillars of obesity management from the Clinical Practice Guidelines to evolve as well to treat obesity like any other chronic disease.
