Canada Goldenrod herb/Solidago canadensis: this is one of my absolute favourite herbs, with so many versatile properties: Goldenrod is a great anticatarrhal herb which means it’s great for the upper respiratory system, (sinusitis, allergies, coughs, colds and flus and brings down fevers.
It also has immune stimulating properties which makes it a great herb to add to cold and cough remedies. This herb is a fantastic herb for the lymphatic system, helps with lymphatic congestion. Also great for the kidneys and prostate. Supports urinary tract inflammation and prevents kidney stones. Also very supportive to the heart as it’s a vascular tonic herb. Somewhat detoxifying in a gentle way. Good for rheumatic conditions and ulcers. What an amazing herb with so many wonderful proprieties.
No toxicity. Caution while pregnant and lactating and if on any mood altering drugs.

Wormwood herb/Artemisia absinthium: I cant say enough about this beautiful medicinal herb, this variety of Artemesia has so many wonderful potent properties, extremely bitter, recommended to use in smaller doses, the bitterness makes it a great herb for the digestive system and for the liver & gallbladder due to its cholagogue properties. (Good for liver congestion, bloating, indigestion, constipation. Helps regulate blood sugars and support the pancreas.
This is a fantastic herb for ridding the body of parasites, worms and viruses.
Very supportive in menopause.
Toxicity: contains essential oils of thujone, best to take in small amounts for short period of times.
Not recommended in pregnancy, lactation, children under 3 and seniors.
Always reach out to your health care practitioner to make sure it doesn’t interact with any medications that you may be on.

Purple loosestrife herb/lythrum salicaria: Great for people would are diabetic and hypoglycaemic. Great for any lymphatic congestion, poor circulation, and poor memory. This herb is great for the nervous system, stress and nervousness. Also supports inflammation of the digestive system and urinary system. Toxicity: it’s an astringent herb so use with caution in lower amounts and not for long periods.
Not recommended in pregnancy, lactation. Always reach out to your health care practitioner to see if this herb interacts with any medications that you’re on.
Lemon balm herb/Melissa officinalis: This beautiful herb has so many amazing properties, she’s a great herb for the nervous system, helps reduce stress, anxiety, depression, nervousness.
Also great for the digestive system due to the carminative properties. Lemon balm is one of the best antiviral herbs, great for shingles, herpes, measles and chicken pox.
Also support the liver and the reproductive system. No toxicity. Always use with caution while pregnant, lactating with hypo thyroid, if on blood mediations and mood altering drugs. Reach out to your health care practitioner to make sure it doesn’t interact with your mediations.

Full Moons are a great time to release any fears, anxieties, resentment that you may be holding on to. Allow this beautiful full moon to mulch any of these energies while sending you pure unconditional love. Take a minute tonight and connect with the moon and release what no longer serves you. Give gratitude to our Moon and hold the intention of what you would like to manifest into being.
Yarrow herb/achillea millefolium: this herb/flower is great for the upper respiratory system, allergies, sinusitis, fevers.
It’s also a fantastic hemostatic, which means it will help stop bleeding. Also great for regulating high blood pressure, tones weak blood vessels, increases circulation in the hands and feet. It is a stimulating emmenagogue which will help bring on delayed menstrual bleeding. It’s cholagogue actions will help with liver and gallbladder stagnation. It’s a bitter herb which helps support the digestive system as well. Also great for urinary tract infections.
Toxicity: may contain trace amounts of Thujone. Not recommended in pregnancy, lactation and with infants. Always reach out to your health care practitioner to see if it may interact with any medications.
Common plantain herb/plantago major: some of the main properties for this herb are: great for lymphatic congestion, inflammation in the digestive tract, ulcers, internal bleeding. This herb is also great for the kidneys, (UTI’s because of its antimicrobial properties. Also good for tooth infections.
Topically it’s fantastic for stings, bites, boils, wounds, burns.
No toxicity.
Not recommended while pregnant and lactation.
Garlic Scapes: I made a garlic scape butter and it’s delicious! Good for flavouring foods, great to add on bread to make a beautiful garlic toast and garlic fermented scapes.
Catnip herb/Nepeta Cataria: This beautiful herb/flower is great for the nervous system, helps support stress, nervousness, depression, anxiety, tension headaches. Also great for balancing the reproductive system. Catnip is also great for digestive issues,(gas, heartburn, bloating). Also helps support high blood pressure.
It’s that time again, cucumbers are starting to grow on the vine. I’m preparing mine in a salt water brine for fermentation. This will give the pickles a boost in good Bacteria, which is always beneficial for our gut health.

Mullein leaves/flowers: Verbascum thapsus: Mullein is well know for supporting the lungs, (great in formulas for cough/colds, flu, and fevers. Also great for bronchitis andsoar throats because of its demulcent properties.
Mullein is also a good lymphatic herb which supports lymphatic drainage, edema, swollen lymph nodes. It’s antiviral properties also makes it a great herb for measles and chicken pox. Mullein is also a good herb for the nervous system, (supportive for stress and nervousness).
Happy Summer Solstice: It’s the longest day and shortest night in the Northern hemisphere. Bringing in new energies of balance and renewal. Great time for planting new seeds which will manifest new beginnings.

Dandelion lf/taraxacum officinale: you can use the entire plant as medicine. The leaves and flowers are great for the kidneys and bladder, (UTIs, cystitis, neurpritis), it’s a great diuretic, good for water retention in the body. Helps with inflammation and congestion in the liver and gallbladder. Supportive to the entire digestive system. The nervine properties help with stress, tension, nervousness. Also great for skin conditions and rheumatic conditions due to its depurative properties.
No toxicity.

Lily of the valley/convallaria majalis: this potent herb is great for conditions of the heart, (arrhythmia, palpations, angina, high blood pressure, heart weakness, congestive heart failure, renal hypertension)
Toxicity: Mild irritant to the digestive system. Never use this herb in large doses, can cause heart dysfunction.
Contraindications: not recommended in pregnancy, lactation, infants, children, seniors. Not recommended in the use of anyone on heart medications.
Always work with a well trained herbalist when using this herb and check with your health practitioner for any interactions.
Ground ivy herb/glechoma hederacea: this might little herb grows low to the ground and it’s time to harvest it now. Ground ivy is a great herb for overall digestive support, (internal inflammation, from the mouth all the way to the bowels, (ulcers & colitis). Also great for chronic lung issues, sinus infections, cold, flu, coughs, bronchitis. Due to the relaxant and mildly tranqualizing affects this herb is good for stress, nervousness, and anxiety. Topically: good for cuts, bruises, sprains and strains. Toxicity:none.
Condo indications: not recommended in pregnancy.
Dandelion flower/leaf:taraxacum officinale:
it’s that time for harvesting dandelion flowers, you can eat them raw in salads, make a herbal tincture or dry them for teas. Here are a few of the benefits of consuming dandelions: great for urinary tract infections, (cystitis), inflammation of the liver & gallbladder. Inflammation of the digestive system & constipation. All types of skin conditions, eczema, psoriasis, rashes). Rheumatic condition, helps support the nervous system, (stress, tension, nervousness). No toxicity.
Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.

The Sun, Moon and planet Earth will align, such a sacred crossing of the sun and moon. This disrupts the energy flow between the sun and earth which helps establish new energy.
