It’s been radio silence here for a while my friends, I know. Not because I haven’t been busy, but because I’ve been struck by creative lightning...and since this new obsession now dictates my daily routine, for now the cake work has come to a pause. I’m knee deep in research on technique and history, and putting together a new body of work that I’m excited to share in the near future. In the meantime, I want to THANK YOU ALLLLLLLLLLL for having followed my sugary journey, and for having supported me with your love and likes. I won’t ever forget that, no matter what sort of work I’m into. 💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖

Hello my friends 💖 These are extraordinary times and i feel as though i should address that here. Any of you who know me personally know how seriously I’m taking this pandemic, and have been for the past month. For my protection, and yours, each order is being assessed individually. I am indefinetly halting all in person meetings, and home pickups. Any orders which are going forward will be dropped off, with no in-person contact.. but even this may be reassessed as this is such a fluid situation. I’m commited to uplifting spirits with treats, but only if it’s absolutely safe to do so. Let’s work together to protect our most vulnerable 💖

OH HAI THERE! Have I ever introduced myself formally here? No? Of course I haven’t, for I am the QUEEN of awkwardness and would much rather hide behind a wall of cakes 🤓.. in fact, why don’t we just pretend that I am a cake. A cake who makes cakes.
It’s dawned on me though, that you might like to see that there is a real human behind the scenes here, not a robot. Do I have any formal training? Nope. Just a long lasting obsession. I come from a fine arts background with a bfa from nscadu and many years working in a local gallery. My love for designing contemporary buttercream cakes runs deep, and I take enormous pride in what I do ☺️

It’s Monday, or Tuesday.. not sure really. Here’s some sea salt caramel, chocolate and vanilla underneath a flower crown.

Yaaay for new babies!! And also yay for picking up old skills you haven’t tested in a while... Making sugar flowers is way fun, and likely something I’ll be working on more often this coming year. 🤔🥰.

Just ordered ten billion flower seeds, and mapping out how to plant them in my TINY sunny patch. guerilla gardening is most definitely in order. 🤫😎
