Who's on the oil-free roasted potato train? So delicious.

Just cut, toss with salt and pepper, and roast as normal. Or if they're bigger wedges, try steaming them or boiling them for 5-10 minutes first and then putting them in the over to get nice and golden.

Cleansing Day 7 and happy Saturday! Day 7 is definitely the good life! Last night we went out for dinner for our anniversary and it was so nice to not feel restricted while on this 10 day superfood transformation. I didn't have a beer, and I ordered an amazing raw meal, where I likely would have had the vegan pizza plus beer. 😜 My skin feels amazing, and my energy is so high today. Feeling motivated, energized, inspired and powerful!

Because what we resist, persists. With this word, and day 4, I walked slower, the same speed as my thoughts, a mellow day.

Cleanse Day 2/10: Today there's much resistance. Feeling less than revved and caffeinated is a downer. Looking after a child when feeling low and tired is hard. And I find myself wondering why I even started this cleanse. Then I remember I'm doing it to feel it, to surrender to the struggle of it, to learn about myself on the level beyond the every day bread and pasta and treats and coffee and non organic and lack of greens food. I'm doing it for the self discovery and deep nourishment. For my spirit and my cells and my skin and everything in between.

Cleansing Day 1/10: hardest part was no caffeine, and the little headache and energy low that came with that. I've consumed my two superfood green drinks, had cucumbers and guacamole for lunch and just made this for dinner. I'm most excited for the cherry juice to induce a super restorative sleep tonight- fingers crossed. I'm feeling really good for embarking on this. I know what an ideal plant based diet is and I know mine falls short on...veggies! Lots of bread and pasta for this working mama! Ready to get over the morning haze and 3pm energy slump. This is a lovely beginning to 10 days of self care and nourishment, healing and an energetic reset. Feeling strong!

When I became vegan more than 5 years ago, I experienced a huge energetic shift. It wasn't because I was no longer consuming animal products; it was that I was now deeply connected with my heart and my truth- the values I had always held but didn't know how to honour. I would have never wanted any animal to be hurt at the hands of a human. Now I'm at peace, and live with that as a core energy in my heart. It's become 'normal', of course, but I'm different than I was before. A cage that I had myself in unknowingly was lifted, and I was set free.

5 years ago I was on a mission to provide delicious self-made vegan food to my local community in a delivery service. I've been reflecting on that experience a lot these days, and how fear got in the way and let that dream escape. I can so vividly remember that time of excitement and growth and new opportunities, and I'm so thrilled to be back in that zone, now on a slightly different path, with experience to support me. I'm proud to still be an advocate for plant based living and feel refreshed in my resolve to continue to connect with people and support the plant based journeys of those around me.
