Happy to be back in Sweeden with our friends at the simulator training center, thankful for our amazing crews! Every year our pilots head to Sweden to have their skills and knowledge tested to ensure they meet company requirements and are ready for any mission when called upon to deliver emergency services around the world.
Huge shout out and thank you to our amazing maintenance team. Thank you for the early mornings and late nights. Thank you for working tirelessly behind the scenes. And ultimately, thank you for keeping our skies safe. Remember when these helicopters show up to put out the fire that is threatening your home, these guys are why it's staying in the air. Thank you for everything you do!
MMIA - Multi Mission Intial Attack Type 1 Heavy
As fires get bigger faster, capable Helicopters that can carry more and more to the the higher the Chace of success of not allowing a lightingstrike to become a major fire. The Super Puma is a true standard category multimission initial attack platform with the ability to carry upto 18 firefighters and 4000L of water at high speed to get to fires while they are small.

Coldstream Helicopters Ltd is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an Exclusive Use contract with BC Wildfire service for a Type 1 Heavy Helicopter for the remainder of the summer. The Super Puma Firecat will bring a multitude of capabilities to BC firefighters including its 4000L water carrying capacity and its ability to move firefighters and suppression efforts quickly to new wildfires throughout the province.
We continue to work closely with BC Wildfire service to ensure they have the aerial firefighting tools needed to support firefighting efforts across BC.
