On December 9th, 2023, employees from Scotiabank, Kelowna and it’s Partners volunteered their time to host Salvation Army Christmas Kettles at three Kelowna locations.
The goal was to help raise critical funds for The Salvation Army with Scotiabank matching up to $15,000 using their Scotia Team Community Program.
At the end of the day $ 28,301 was raised for a total of $43,301. Today was the official cheque presentation!

It was an honour to have our Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas come down and support the community by ringing in the kettle bells! Mayor Dyas put in time at the kettle so a local family could spend quality time together, assured they were supported with all needs! We thank you Mayor Dyas! This sure was special!
As we wrap up this 2023 Kettle season, we would like to thank each and everyone who put in their time and efforts. Each shift was a gift of your time that was so special! It matters to so many and because of you all, many will be warm and snug, with gifts, and a family dinner together!

Our Seniors’ Drop-In program for those 55+ at the church on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m offers a place for seniors to make new connections, share a nutritious meal together ($3) and have an opportunity for new learning and/or entertainment.
Weekly programs are offered for children and youth.
Our Emergency Disaster Services offer practical supports to residents and emergency response personnel during times of crisis.
Our Community Life Centre (offices in Rutland and Westbank) offer a variety of supports and resources for community members.
Our 3 Thrift Stores in Kelowna, Rutland and Westbank assist the community by recycling quality used goods, keeping them out of the landfill, and getting them into the hands of people who will use them.
