The hospital’s volunteer run Gift Shop is open Monday through Friday from 11:00am-3:00pm. Hours may fluctuate due to volunteer availability. The gift shop at the hospital offers a variety of items including books, gifts, clothing, snacks, and miscellaneous essentials for visitors. Please note that the gift shop does not carry flowers or strongly scented products.

Proceeds from the gift shop are used to purchase essential equipment, patient comfort and priority needs at RMH.

This year, the Golden Ears Gift Shop successfully raised $15,000 in proceeds. These funds were used to purchase a Raz bariatric tilt commode for Baillie House, providing improved toileting and showering options for residents. With approximately eight residents in need of equipment with wider size and weight limits, there is a growing demand for more inclusive mobility solutions. This purchase will help meet the needs of these residents and enhance their quality of life.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the RMH Wellness and Spirit Team for hosting a fantastic Summer kickoff event yesterday.

The brown bag lunch, which included sandwiches provided at a discounted cost by Subway, as well as fruits, cookies, and ice cream, was a delightful addition to the day. The event also featured games, and prizes, all made possible thanks to their hard work and dedication.

Last month, she was honored with an Auxiliary Long Service pin at the Gift Shop Volunteer Social, in honor of Volunteer Appreciation Week. Her dedication and generosity have made a lasting impact on our community. Thank you, Elizabeth, for all that you do.

We also want to recognize the amazing work of Ridge Meadows Hospital Auxiliary who, a year ago today, celebrated 70 years of supporting patient care and programs at the hospital as well as through the community, including the bursaries funded by the Auxiliary to help local students get their start in a career in health care.
