Hi MCAC! This Sunday, we're excited to have Pastor Andrew Wood, Lead Pastor at Southside@Main, as our guest speaker. His sermon is titled, "How to Inhabit Mississauga."
Pastor Andrew grew up in the West end of Mississauga with severe middle child syndrome. He went to public school in Meadowvale for his childhood, played AAA baseball from 7yr until he washed up on the shores of menβs league softball in his late teens. He attended Rexdale Alliance with the fam when they were younger, then Renew Church Mississauga for a long while after. He felt a sense of calling to pastoral ministry in his mid-teens. He studied at Hillsong in Sydney, Australia, Tyndale in Toronto, ON, and Grace Seminary in Winona Lake, IN. His first child was a youth ministry called Maverick Youth and after that a young adults community called Society. He was an internet pastor for 2 years and now in the role of Lead Pastor at Southside@Main.
He met his wife at a youth conference in Indiana and sealed the deal with vows on March 11, 2016. Since then they have been blessed with the privilege of raising two incredibly sweet (and slightly sassy) daughters. He wants to build the Kingdom of God in Milton by building community with their neighbours. His favourite thing in the world is people who want to join them to do that.
