For “WildWoods: AGLOW” at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Moss LED collaborated with Thinkwell Group to bring an enchanted, illuminated forest walk to life. This award-winning experience activates Fernbank’s old-growth forest during the winter months, immersing visitors in a captivating blend of nature and light. Key elements include the large "Mama Seed," a glowing egg-shaped centerpiece, and towering, glowing mushrooms—all illuminated with Moss LED’s waterproof Pixel FlexLED 24V RGBW lighting, controlled with custom UL-certified junction boxes.

The illuminated walkway, accented by Neon FlexLED V3 RGB under handrails and in-ground floor lighting, guides guests through the vibrant landscape. The “AGLOW” sign at the entrance is outlined with SlimNeon FlexLED 4100K, creating an inviting glow. Controlled via Cinque-LED DMX Dimmers, each installation component reinforces the stunning visuals inspired by native flora and fauna, transforming the forest into an ethereal wonderland. Recognized with awards like the Muse Out-Of-Home Experiential Award and SEGD Global Design Award, "WildWoods: AGLOW" is a testament to immersive, experiential design in a natural setting.

To outfit an iconic comedy institution, a neon 'Yes, And...' sign became a significant installation positioned above the bar in the lobby of the Second City Theatre. Mounted on plexiglass integrating our SlimNeon FlexLED 2400K, the sign illuminates a hallmark phrase of improv performance. Sun rays above the elevators were installed using FlexLED 60 RGBA 24V in 1520 Aluminum Channels, controlled by a VentiQuattro-LED DMX 24-Channel Dimmer in a custom UL-certified junction box. On the Toronto Mainstage, three arches with FlexLED 60 RGBA 24V allow for dynamic lighting effects, controlled by the same dimmer and junction box system.

Founded in 1959, The Second City is a renowned comedy theatre and improvisational group based in Chicago, widely recognized for its influential role in the development of improv comedy and for launching the careers of many famous comedians, including Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Bill Murray, and Stephen Colbert. Since opening the first Canadian location, The Second City has been offering live comedy performances and training programs from Downtown Toronto for more than 50 years.

Introducing the latest version of our FlexLED RGB+WW+CW 24V, now upgraded with 96 LEDs per meter. This new product retains the same impressive colour range, combining RGB with dedicated warm white (2700K) and cool white (6500K) LEDs, allowing for endless lighting possibilities. With a higher LED density of 96 LEDs per meter, this version delivers even brighter, more uniform lighting, making it ideal for applications that require smooth, seamless illumination.

Project highlight: Hell's Kitchen Broadway

To replicate the iconic lights and electric energy of the New York City streets for this production, our Pixel FlexLED 12V RGB High Frequency Individual Chip Control was used to trace the rising structures and create dimension. A total of 2,132 feet (650 meters) of our FlexLED were combined with 38 PixlArt416 pixel controllers, bringing dynamic effects to the stage worthy of the "Empire City" name. Now on Broadway!

Drawing inspiration from her experiences growing up in the 90s, Manhattan, Hell's Kitchen showcases the music and lyrics of Alicia Keys. Written by Kristoffer Diaz, it premiered at The Public Theater in October 2023 and made its Broadway debut at the Shubert Theatre on April 20, 2024, followed by a cast recording on June 7, 2024. The story follows 17-year-old Ali as she navigates her relationship with her overprotective mother and a budding romance with a musician, ultimately discovering her resilience and identity within her community.

Project highlight: Drag Race Canada vs. The World

The fiercest runway on the planet just got a major facelift!

For the iconic Drag Race Canada runway where the queens dazzle and battle, production designer Andrew Kinsella of On Set Design and the lighting design team at Light + Dark upgraded the perimeter runway lighting from tungsten bulbs to our Pixel FlexLED 12V RGB High Frequency Individual Chip Control. To maintain a clean finish when the LEDs are off, the LED strips were integrated into matte black MOSS-ALQ-3015 Aluminum Channels and covers, achieving a stealth installation that blends seamlessly into the set's dark areas. The black cover and channels also shield the LEDs from ambient light, ensuring rich, saturated colour rendering.

Our Pixel FlexLED 12V RGB High Frequency Individual Chip Control features individually cuttable and addressable pixels operating at 8khz PWM and 8-bit dimming. Suited for on-camera use up to 240fps, dynamic effects can be created with our PixlArt416 via ArtNet or sACN data signals.

CBC will be providing live broadcasts, in-depth analysis, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage as athletes from around the world compete on the grandest stage. We are proud to have contributed to the visual experience of this dynamic broadcasting set, located here in Toronto.⁠

Pixel FlexLED RGB 12V was integrated onto the walls using our ALM-2310 aluminum channels. Framing the main seating area, steps, as well as the ticker board and upstage lightboxes, our FlexLED RGBW 4100k was used to create visually stunning highlights.⁠

Behind vertical beams DiffuseFlex RGBW was added to make the set elements come to life and provide a soft glowing accent.⁠

Beloved Canadian celebrity chef Matty Matheson—renowned for his Toronto landmark restaurant Parts & Labour and his role as Neil Fak in the FX series The Bear—opened Prime Seafood Palace in April 2022. It was named Best New Restaurant for 2023 by Canada's 100 Best and won the Popular Choice Award for Restaurants >1000 sq.ft. at the Architizer A+Awards. OneLX Audio Visual Design Group was hired to consult on the lighting design and collaborated with Moss LED to enhance the restaurant's curves.⁠

To accentuate the ceiling's texture and height, our FlexLED 60 White 24V 3000K was installed within our ALM-1707 Aluminum Channel. This setup was perfect for the commercial space, as the aluminum channel served as a heat sink, enhancing the LED's longevity.⁠

For the window surrounds and bar area, FlexLED 60 White 24V 3000K was used inside the ALQ-1807 Aluminum Channel, creating a warm and inviting ambiance for the booth seating.⁠

All lighting elements were managed using our Quad-LED High Current DMX 4-Channel Dimmer & HLG 24V 240W Fan-less Metal Housed Power Supplies were placed inside an electrical enclosure to ensure reliable power.⁠

The ex*****on of "Cook at all Costs" involved a comprehensive approach, with a focus on various elements such as judges' room arches, cook stations, fridges, walls, curved headers, door frames, trim above the door, light boxes, and custom LED fixtures. Our installation and rental services played a pivotal role, utilizing our extensive stock and ensuring budget-friendly prices without compromising on quality. The VentiDrives, crucial to the setup, were seamlessly installed with trigger clamps on CBC batons, allowing quick power and data connections for the lighting team to gain full control within minutes.⁠
