I’m excited to release the video for my first single release for my song “Silent Hero” from my digital album called “From Me To You”.
This album has been a labour of love for the last 2 1/2 years. It is a tribute to my parents, Sid Martell, my amazing dad, who passed in Sept 1993 and Anne Martell, my wonderful mom, who left us July 21, 2021.
You are gone but never forgotten ❤️
The album cover features a painting from Cathy Doull, of the Martell boys jamming. To view more of Cathy’s work visit Catherine_doull on instagram🩷
Also there is a picture of young Sid in 1953 with his guitar looking like James Dean lol!
Dad was a local musical celebrity in Cape Breton in the 1950’s - 70’s often singing on TV and singing many weekends at dances in Cape Breton.
There is a picture of dad’s guitar, a 1953 D-18 Martin that he ordered in from New York when he was in his 20’s.
There is a hole in the guitar from the years of dad strumming the guitar and performing.
I used dad’s guitar on all 14 songs on the album, which includes 8 original songs and 6 cover songs.
The album cover graphic design was done by my talented brother in law, Michael Cintron who skillfully arranged the images and came up with the final design. View more of the works of Michael on his page on Fine Art America.

Heartfelt thanks to Mike Oz at studioZproductions
In Moncton for producing the album and video.
Thank you to my brother Terry who plays the keyboards on my original songs and to Allie Bennett
for playing the bass on my original songs on the album and for his amazing finger picking in this video.
Thank you to Jeremy Jayqwack Hebert for his wonderful drum playing on the songs.
The album has been a family affair with my brother Robert Martell contributing his skills on the fiddle and my step sisters Delores Marie Henick, Henrietta MacNeil and Leona Macneil on background vocals.
The video features Ray of Hope Soup Kitchen who just served their 1,000,000th meal, Grass Home at 705 who recently provided amazing care to my family members and to many other families and to Blood Donor Clinic Mapleton Road, Moncton , New Brunswick.
Thank you all so much!
Greg
