National Indigenous History Month is in full swing.
Here are 4 titles you don't want to miss:

✨ Run Woman Run: tells the story of Beck, a single mother who learns to take back control of her dreams, her family, and honor her life with the help of an unexpected coach.

✨ Hey, Viktor! : follows Cody Lightning, a former child actor, as he attempts to revive his career by making a sequel to the film that started his career.

✨ Tautuktavuk (What we see): a film about two sisters — one living in Montreal and the other in Nunavut — each dealing with their trauma in their own way.

✨ Atikamekw Suns: a film revisiting the tragic night in June 1977 when five members of the Atikamekw community of Manawan drowned in a road accident. A poignant and sensitive film that explores grief.

Enjoy! 📺

Congratulations to our CEO and executive director Julie Roy, for being featured on the The Hollywood Reporter's inaugural list of the 42 Most Powerful Women in Canadian Entertainment! This recognition highlights her exceptional leadership and impact in the industry.

" She started, 30 years ago, in the editing department at the National Film Board of Canada — she remembers bumping into a young filmmaker in the corridors who was shooting his first short, some guy named Denis Villeneuve — and worked her way up to director general and programming chief officer. Nowadays, as head of Telefilm Canada, a job she took just last year, she’s the country’s biggest indie film financier. "
