It's a summer of Twists & Turns with various events all summer for all ages! We kick it all off with a free community BBQ in our parking lot on June 30 at noon. Bring a lawn chair and come get hotdogs, chips and pop, then stick around for giant board games! The Free Methodist Church in Canada has publicly confessed, “a role in the oppression of First Nations people, whether by action or passive inaction, past or present.” Since this confession at the General Conference in 2008, the FMCIC has committed to seeing the work of Truth and Reconciliation as ongoing and continuous.

The Intercultural Engagement Team continues to nurture relationships and partnerships with organizations and individuals that focus on and/or engage with issues central to meeting the Calls to Action raised by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Local congregations play a crucial role in continuing the journey forward. The FMCIC has created a framework to provide resources, support, with information to aid, and educate.
