ROOM FOR RENT AT PACIFIC GARDENS - May 1
Hi everyone! I am renting out a bedroom, and am looking for the right 'fit' to join our community.
This is more than just a bedroom rental - Pacific Gardens Cohousing is on over 4 acres, with access to communal gardens 🍎, adjoining a public parkland 🌿. Residents here have access to ample space, including conversation and study lounges, large outdoor covered patios 🪴, a communal kitchen with 2 stoves, 2 fridges, and shared baking resources, an art room 🙋♂️, gym, office with communal computers and a printer (not pictured) music room with piano and sound system (not pictured), and handyperson workshop 🏗 - all surrounding 'the atrium,' which is a large skylighted hall connecting all units.
In addition to the benefits of communal space, the community holds potlucks 🍕 twice weekly in the dining hall, morning coffee ☕social hour twice a week, and boardgame night once a week for those who want to connect. There are other community events that sometimes occur, such as concerts 🎹 held in the atrium. We also have an electric modo 🚗 onsite for those who wish to join the carshare.
The bedroom is available for rent starting May 1st. The room is fully furnished, including a small study desk, and a shared bathroom. The room is on our lower level, a quiet room on a level with only one other bedroom. Our living spaces are in the floor above.

Thanks to Dan Morris for the fantastic tree! It’s so huge, it bends at the ceiling in our place. Cat did most of the sawing, and she choose the tallest and widest beauty on the lot. More to come on the decorating. It turns out we need more lights to fill this massive tree.

Join our cohousing! Our cohousing is a pretty amazing place, a multigenerational cohousing with lots of collective spaces (dining room, play room, exercise room, arts room etc…see the pictures, it’s all common space!). We have potlucks twice a week. It allows us to have safe spaces for child keen to play, amazing loving neighbours and access super easily to babysitters and adopted grandparents.
Some of our dear neighbours are moving out, and we will miss them very much. And… that also means there is a 3 bedroom and den unit to rent for October. So… would you be our new neighbour?? It’s a good opportunity to try it out and decide if you want to buy into it.
It’s also a great apartment to share among two or three households.
