CVCC is looking for a Head Ice Technician! We are very proud of our new facility and wish to have the best curling ice possible to compliment our club.

The position will be available to start May 1, 2022. We are looking to build a long term relationship with a technician. This contract is for one year with option for 2 yr renewal after a positive performance review.

The team is composed of Sheryl Dobenko, Sheila Rogers, Sue-Ann Blakely, and Jennifer Langley.

It’s Tuesday at 5:00pm. Instead of heading home after work (or stepping away from your dining table work station), why not head over to City View Curling Club and join our Novice league?

Our Tuesday Open Novice league is perfect for beginner curlers who have been through a Learn to Curl program, or have a basic understanding of curling. Bring 3 of your friends (all genders welcome) and sign up as a team, or sign up as an individual and meet a bunch of new friends at the club.

Step-on sliders, brooms, and delivery devices are available for members without their own equipment ( )

This league is pure fun - everyone is new to curling, and the beer is always cold at (our bar lounge at the club)

Let’s start a fun little thread - at what age did you start curling?

Curling is one of the most social sports out there - it’s the perfect sport to cure those social blues we’ve all been experiencing.

Our Learn to Curl program is ready to teach you the basics of curling over a 10 week period. All equipment is provided; its the perfect beginner class for those with little to no experience on the ice.

There are two options:
🥌 Saturdays from 1:30pm-3:30pm, starting October 16
🥌 Sundays from 3:00pm-5:00pm, starting October 17

We are excited and eager to welcome back so many new and returning faces to City View in the coming weeks. With recent vaccine mandates implemented by the government, vaccines are required at City View Curling Club. A few key points:�🥌 All people 12yrs and older must be fully vaccinated and provide proof in order to gain access to the building.
🥌 Masks are required at all times, with the exception of while eating, and while actively curling. �🥌 An attendance log will be kept for contact tracing
🥌 Modified curling play (please see document for details)�🥌 Enhanced cleaning��There are more details in the Return to Play guidelines. Please take a read prior to returning to the club.

Our CVCC garage sale is this Saturday! Bring your umbrellas and sunscreen because the sale is outdoors, rain or shine ☔️ ☀️

We have an abundance of goodies. Many of our curlers moved this past year and we have no shortage of awesome items.

Be sure to come by and check it out Saturday, Sept 18 - sale starts at 830am.

Our Garage Sale planning is well under way and it’s looking so good. Some antiques, treasures, and other goodies are on their way.

We are currently accepting your donations at drop offs on the following days:
- Sunday, September 12 from 9:30am-11:30am
- Monday, September 13 from 1-3pm
- Wednesday, September 15 from 7-9pm
- Friday, September 17 from 2-7pm

E-waste is being collected on the day of the sale ONLY.

Garage sale date is Saturday, September 18th from 8:30am - 12:30pm. See you there!

CVCC is hosting a garage sale and electronic recycling drop in September. While we aren’t ready to accept donations yet, please keep us mind as you find yourself in a summer purging mood! Details to come!

🥌 LEARN TO CURL 🥌

You watched the Scotties, you’ll be watching the Brier, so why not get out there and try something new?

Our 6 week program is perfect for just that. For $100 (plus deposit for a broom and slider), you’ll learn the basics and get a feel for it (spoiler - sweeping is incredibly important and more of a workout than your sweeping at home 😂).

Best part? You’ll meet a ton of new friends.
