The Great Northern Family Health Team is pleased to share that Dr. Stacy Desilets, one of our esteemed affiliated physicians, has been honored as the Reg L. Perkins Ontario Family Physician of the Year. This prestigious award represents the highest accolade a physician can achieve from the Ontario College of Family Physicians.
We are immensely appreciative of our collaboration with Dr. Desilets and our entire physician team, who generously share their expertise, provide clinical support, and ensure high-quality patient care. In addition to her primary care work, Dr. Desilets plays a vital physician role in supporting and leading initiatives at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, the Canadian Mental Health Association, and holds several key positions at Temiskaming Hospital, including Chief of Staff, as well as providing Inpatient care, surgical assist and Emergency Department Services.
