September Roll Out!

Here's what's happening this month at St. Clair!

First off, we are starting a new series on the Beatitudes: Get Used to Different! Join us for a nine-week journey through the Beatitudes, where we will explore the profound teachings of Jesus on life and perspective in the Kingdom of God. Discover through testimonies how these unconventional blessings offer a radical perspective on what it means to live in God’s favour, challenging our traditional views and inviting us into a deeper, more authentic faith. Hannah made this amazing poster for the intergen service and Julien doesn't believe in reinventing the wheel! Also how wonderful and awesome it will be that both services will be learning the same thing at the same time! The conversation possibilities are endless!

We will be having a Family Meeting September 15th at 7 pm. This will be a very informative meeting as we discuss more about the organizational structure the Leadership Team has been working on and the going ons of our church!

Youth Kick off! Our youth will be starting their Wednesday night activities on September 18th, and new this year, there will be a time for the youth to gather post-Sunday service to have fellowship and fun together. Talk with Karra for more information!

Whole and Holy: A Study in James - Called Back to the Kingdom

On Sunday Andrew K spoke from the book of James 5:19-20, this sermon closed our series Whole and Holy: a Study in James. What happens when one person lives out their faith? When a person lines up their actions with their faith, they become more whole as a person, and more holy as a temple of God. How does that affect their community? This integral faith affects the wholeness and holiness of our community. Journey with us in a season of preparation and anticipation: to make sure our own “house” [as in body] and our own “house” [as in “church community”] is in order. Over the next few months, we are going to take a good look in the mirror and let the Good News shape our every day lives.

It is a wonderful thing to be in a church so intentional in learning to follow the ways of Jesus. Please note that with our Community month in August there will not be an podcasts being posted on this channel until September. To see what we are doing each Sunday check out our newsletter or social media posts.

Discipleship Survey: Josiah has put together a survey to gather more information around our discipleship, clarifying what we are doing for discipleship, what we want to be doing for discipleship. I know there have been a lot of forms and feedback surveys but this is very helpful as we imagine and plan for our next decade of St. Clair and where we believe God is calling us to! So PLEASE, fill out the survey in the newsletter and when you have, email Josiah to let him know, in order to be entered in for a draw of one of three $10 Tim Horton's gift cards! YAY Raffle!
