KyivPride Canada is trying to help in any way possible: together with the We Support LGBTQ Ukraine Fund and KyivPride, we are seeking people in Canada who can accept and assist LGBTQ+ Ukrainias fleeing the war.

Ukrainian Kyiv-based pride organization asks Canadians to open homes to LGBTQ refugees | CBC News Canada has taken in thousands of Ukrainian refugees, but some organizations are still looking for hosts to house more, particularly refugees who identify as LGBTQ.

KyivPride Canada and KyivPride, together with the Canadian We Support LGBTQ Ukraine Fund, have launched an initiative to support the LGBTQ+ people coming to Canada from Ukraine within the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel program. The community members who are willing to come to Canada go through a process of verification prior to their arrival.

If you live in Canada and willing to help the Ukrainian LGBTQ+ community, there are a few ways you can support the newcomers:

1. Provide temporary accommodation in a city or a town in Canada;
2. Assist a Ukrainian LGBTQ+ newcomer to secure a job in Canada;
3. Be a "Local Connection" and help a newcomer print themselves in their new community.

All assistance is welcome.
