Help community agencies deliver on their mission, and raise awareness about intimate partner violence (IPV) by joining us on September 21st for the first annual Community Walk to End IPV.

Register here: https://loom.ly/o9xpXW8

Following persistent advocacy led by the gender-based violence sector, survivors and the families of those stolen to femicide, the Ontario government shifted its position on declaring IPV an epidemic and agreed to support a private members bill, Bill 173: Intimate Partner Violence Epidemic Act through second reading. However, the Billโ€™s progress has been slowed by its deferral to the Justice Policy Committee for further review.

Our Director of Advocacy and Communication, Jasmine Ramze Rezaee and Manager of Advocacy, Sami Pritchard wrote an op-ed for the Toronto Star discussing the importance of addressing this epidemic of violence with the urgency it requires.
