Bikes that Fit.
Tall Tree Cycles began 10 years ago in a backyard garage surrounded by tall trees (get it?), in Westboro, Ottawa. We grew quickly, thanks to the success of our Steelwool brand of bikes, and our reputation for repair work. Tall Tree soon moved out of that garage, and after a couple of moves, today we are on the corner of Somerset and Booth streets, in the heart of Chinatown.
Our mission is to sell you bikes that fit. That means a few things to us: It means that the bikes we sell are the right size for you, and are comfortable for you to ride, whatever your dimensions or fitness. Combined, Grant, Thom and Nichola have move than 40 years of experience fitting folks of all types, with all sorts of special needs. We will fit you to your new bike as well. In fact, we guarantee it.
It also means we will fit you to the bike you need. We helped introduced fixed gear bikes, 29er mountain bikes, fatbikes, cargo and long-tail bikes and gravel bikes to the Ottawa region. We love steel bikes. We love doing custom builds. But we sell plenty of affordable city and road bikes as well. When you come to us, we don’t ask you what bike you want: We ask you what you want to do with your wheels, and then we find you wheels that fit.
