English speakers use a lot of idioms.

Eh? “eh” is an interjection that is unique to Canadian English and is used a lot to express emotion or sentiment. “eh” can have different meanings, eh?
In Canada, use “eh”:
1) to check if the other person understands and is listening “I’m going to the hairdresser first, eh, then I'll meet you at the restaurant at 5 o'clock.”
2) to check if the other person is interested “My trip to Nova Scotia was amazing and we saw some really cool beaches, eh.”
3) to check if the other person agrees “Canada is a really nice country, eh.”
4) to add importance “ They're calling for freezing rain later today, eh.”
5) to make a combined statement and question “You are good at playing hockey, eh?”
