Congratulations again to everyone who helped raise funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis Canada - Ottawa Chapter even though the race portion of the Cup didn't happen. We raised over $5000 this year! If you still have friends or family who would like to donate, please let them know that our fundraising page will stay live for a few more days. You have until end-of-day Sunday (February 11th) to get any last donations in. Thank you again everyone!

It is with great sadness that we bring you this news...
We’ve received word from the National Capital Commission that unfortunately, the canal will not be open in time for the Carleton Cup to take place this year.
For those of you who registered and committed to the party and to the charity regardless of whether or not we had ice, thank you! You rock and we really appreciate you!
Just a reminder that since we started the race the average life span of someone with CF has gone from 18 to 54 years of age! So all of the funds you have raised are accomplishing so much. Thank you! Thank you for helping us go further for the Cystic Fibrosis community.

Ottawa's Rideau Canal Skateway poised for latest opening ever | CBC News The National Capital Commission says it's unlikely the renowned Ottawa tourist attraction will be able to open for the first of three Winterlude weekends.
Bummer.
It is with great sadness that we bring you this news...
We got word last night from the National Capitol Commission that unfortunately, the canal will not be open in time for the Carleton Cup to take place.
For those of you who have already registered for the Cup and paid your registration fee, we would kindly ask if you would consider changing this registration fee into a donation to Cystic Fibrosis Canada - Ottawa Chapter. If you generously agree to transfer your registration fee into a donation, Cystic Fibrosis Canada will issue you a tax receipt.
Just a reminder that since we started the race the average life span of someone with CF has gone from 18 to 54 years of age! So all of the funds you have raised are accomplishing so much. Thank you! Refunds are also available upon request. Nikki from Cystic Fibrosis Canada will be in touch regarding next steps on your preferred choice.
