Creatively maneuvering this life... I am an artist at the core of my being, striving to creatively maneuver this life, with my own artistic flair.
I capture a variety of subjects in diverse and unique pieces. My versatility with several media allows great scope in expression of my concepts and designs. I am comfortable moving from one medium to another. I work in watercolours, acrylics, charcoal, pencil crayon, pencil, chalk, oil, photography and a variety of sculpture media. I have developed considerable knowledge and skills with a wide variety of materials and techniques, and I love to explore and create.
Colours and shapes lift me off the page and into the whispers of the night as my paintbrush swirls.

When I was younger I always wanted a pet. When we moved back to Canada when I was in grade six, my parents promised us we could have a pet of our choosing. I was devastated when they denied me my pet rhino. But on the upside, when we got the farm, we had horses 💗
They are truly majestic beasts, and turns out a darned good best friend. This new addition to my Equine series is not in my usual colour palette, but that’s how it happens sometimes.

Art will always be something that comes from my soul, and what I do. Sometimes it feels that I have no choice, as Art is merely a way in which I communicate. But you know what’s better than just doing art? Doing it in a community that supports creatives.
Having amazing conversations about our creativity and sharing our stories.
Having awesome friends That travel from far far away, taking go trains, and go buses, and cabs and finding their way in an unknown city, through a maze of a building, to surprise and support you.💗
Art enhances and elevates our lives, and it would only be a one sided conversation, without you.
So thank you for supporting me, and allowing me to share my art with you 💗. Last night’s was another busy night, thanks to all of you.

Mother/Daughter Painting
Hope to see you out this at First Friday Ptbo lots happening, including our annual Mother/Daughter Art Show
A lot of our mother daughter pieces start out with us, throwing paint on the canvas, fingers in the paint, until one or both of us sees some thing. In this painting, we both said “do you see the face?” And thus emerged The Lady of the Lake.
This painting has such amazing texture, and I loved how she came alive. My favourite part is the swirl. What’s yours?
What came first, the chicken or the egg?
New work to be shown this Friday at our Mother/Daughter Art show!!
Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway.
~John Wayne
I did this poster when I was in middle school. Earth day has evolved in its meaning to me throughout my life as I have seen the impacts of our choices. Through forestry, and my love of nature and our family camping trips to just being barefoot in the mud and sand, Mother Nature has always nurtured my soul, and has fueled my artistic practice. So I do not dare to think what my world would look like without her, in her wildest sense 🌎🌱💙
This Chicken painting is a work in progress that me and my not so lil chick are finishing up for our Mother/Daughter show coming up on Friday May 3, 2024.
Loving the new stuff we have done for this show. Collaborations can be so much fun, and I believe it’s good to flex those muscles needed to play well with others 😜.
Seriously collaborating with another creative can be challenging, but man the results can be oh so rewarding!!
Speaking of collaborations, I have some great news to share that will be unfolding soon… so stay tuned…and makes sure you hit that follow button ❤️
This upcoming May First Friday Ptbo is our Mother/Daughter art show, Root & Stem. I look forward to this every year. My daughter and I have been painting together since she could crawl, or in her case, bum scoot, lol.
Large canvas on the floor, both of us painting together. Some of my favourite memories were spent this way. And some of my most favourite paintings have come out of these creative sessions.
I hope you will come by and see our collaborative art pieces. Stay tuned for some sneak peeks. This zebra is one of them…
Lighthouse
6x9 Mixed Media on a Cradled Panel
This Mixed media piece is a part of my Lighthouse Series, and it was made using a combination of acrylic paint, collage papers, and ink, inspired by my trips to the Canadian east coast. It is my love poem to the Maritimes.
I lived out East for 6 years, in New Brunswick and have visited Nova Scotia and PEI many times since. I believe I am a Maritimer at heart ❤️.
Now available. Head to my shop for purchase.
Where would we be without the arts?
Music, poetry, theatre, film, visual arts, it allows our interpretation of our thoughts, our feelings our perspectives. It is a beautiful means of connection and a way to tell our stories.
Every First Friday Ptbo I am reminded just how important art is in our lives. And thank you for making Blue Frogs Legs a stop along your Friday. The conversations, enthusiasm, curiosity, engagement and support make these evenings so worthwhile.
It was an absolute pleasure to have the amazing creative Sharon Stock Feren as my guest artist last night. And I look forward to some artistic collaborations with her in the future!
Thanks again to all who came out to support us. It was such a busy night I hardly got any photos! What was your favourite part of this evening?
