Approximately 1 in 10 women are affected by PCOS.
Living with PCOS can take a toll on mental health. Hormonal imbalances, body image issues, and stress from managing symptoms can lead to anxiety, depression, and low self esteem.

Use your awareness of resentment to inquire within rather than holding on to the anger you feel towards others or situations that are tormenting you. People are not responsible for your resentments. When we put the responsibility of our mood on others we forget that we actually are the only ones who have the power to improve our inner peace. The resentment is an invitation for you to be curious about your own habits and patterns that contribute to your suffering. When we focus on the satisfaction and wellbeing of others, as a habitual practice based on a feeling of appropriateness, manners or guilt and shame, we are consistently abandoning ourselves. Prioritizing our needs is not selfish, it’s self appropriate. This doesn’t not exclude being respectful and kind to others. It simply means you are not forgetting yourself for others. It’s necessary in life to be fully connected and committed to yourself so you don’t feel leveraged and indebted. Your choices are made freely and consciously from a place of fullness. Where do you feel resentment in your life? What gets in the way of being selfled in those situations? What are you afraid of if you were to be more boundaried and contained? ❤️

Moravia supports individuals who are struggling with past traumas in their daily lives. Throughout her career as a therapist, she has had the honour of walking alongside survivors of sexual violence, childhood abuse and neglect, domestic violence, human trafficking, and stalking. She understands the deeply felt and long-lasting impacts of trauma on a person’s body, brain, sense of self, and relationships.
Her approach in therapy is rooted in deep respect for the many ways that individuals survive traumatic experiences and cope in their aftermath. Moravia believes that everyone can heal. In therapy, she strives to create a warm and welcoming environment to support clients in their healing journeys.
Moravia has extensive experience and training in trauma therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. She completed her Master of Science in Social Work, as well as a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies, at the University of Texas in Austin (2019). Moravia also has over ten years of experience developing advocacy campaigns and conducting research on human rights issues in the Americas, including the traumatic impacts of disappearance on mothers of missing and disappeared people in Mexico.
We believe her vast experiences, knowledge and expertise is an asset to our team and the clients we serve and we are so honoured she is joining us!

Research shows that neurodivergence is hereditary.
A recent study found that the heritability of autism is over 80%... and another study on the heritability of ADHD found that it can go as high as 91%!! (I will link both articles in comments)
This means that if a child has an autism and/or ADHD diagnosis, chances are very high that at least one parent is autistic and/or ADHD as well.

Whenever a child is diagnosed as autistic or ADHD, both parents should be invited to be assessed too, or at the very least informed that they may wish to consider that they are autistic and/or ADHD too.
It would save a lot of time and missed diagnosis/self-understanding.

There are some things you have control over, and some things you don’t. The trick to feeling better and less stressed is to focus on what’s in your control and let go of the rest.
The reason our brain want to control everything (even when we can’t) because uncertainty makes us nervous. When we don’t know what’s going to happen, our brain tries to grab onto anything it can to make us feel safer. But once we recognize what’s truly in our control and what’s not, we can start to let go of that need to control everything. It’s like telling your brain, ‘I’ve got this, I’m focusing on what I can do, and that’s enough’.

If only.
If only family were everything, as in the group of people who aid those among them who are hurt.
If only family were everything, as in the place that shelters their own when they have been wounded.
If only family were everything, when one among them asks for help.
If only.
Anyone can choose family to be there everything. That is their choice. But their is constant shame, misunderstanding, judgment even for those who have a different experience.
Because those experiences shine light on others who have no idea what trauma is, or those who refuse to acknowledge their family is just as dysfinctional as the next, but everyone is an assigned role to make it work.
So, when someone raises their hand, and they are hurt by someone in their family and needing help, and the family whispers “Shhhh, keep this quiet” the hurt person buries that pain a little deeper.
They adapt and then the family member hurts them again. This time the family tells the hurt person they are overreacting, because the first “Shhhh” didn’t work and hopefully this will cement their reality from being known.
Over and over the hurt, the hungry, the ones not adapting well are blamed for needing something different.
Families who do not honor, protect, adapt to those needing care in the most traumatic times, are not families. And they sure as hell are not everything.
Less “Family is everything” and more “Healing is.” �
Anyone can join you in that healing and they can choose not to. That has nothing to do with whether or not you deserve peace.

3️⃣ Kindness: Offer yourself the kindness and care you deserve. 💖
