Empowerment is defined as “the process of enhancing the capacity of individuals or groups to make choices and to transform those choices into desired actions and outcomes.” I empower you to have a safe and healthy birth by building your confidence and reducing fears surrounding birth and beyond. "The information presented in class was just right. It wasn’t too overwhelming but didn’t leave unanswered questions either. Definitely worth the time and money to gain that knowledge and avoid google!!" -Helaina Zurevinsky

Today marks the beginning of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month.

We are so grateful for everyone in this community that are out there helping to end the stigma around pregnancy, infant, and child loss by sharing their stories and their beautiful babies.

As we have done in years before, we would like to share these stories with the world.

If you’d like us to help you share your baby with the world, tag us in a post dedicated to your baby and we’ll share it to our stories.

We know these stories can be tough on us, and they can bring on strong emotions so please know that our hearts are with you. 💜

"The in person portion was great, it was nice to meet some of the people we will likely see around town once baby arrives. The positions and practice and hands on activities were also much appreciated"

08/22/2023

"The prenatal class is very informative when it comes to learning about what to do and what your partner can do to help you out when it comes to labour and postpartum."

08/17/2023

"I really loved Yliza’s hands on approach and practicing labour positions, it was good for both my husband and I and helped relieve lots of anxiety. The LC portion was also very helpful."

08/15/2023

"I’ve already told a couple pregnant friends that the labour positions practice and counter pressure alone make it very worth it. They are both things I had read about but getting the actual in person instruction was way more beneficial for my husband and I."

08/11/2023

"The books are helpful, but don’t replace being able to learn directly from knowledgeable and experienced experts."

"Prenatal classes will give some reassurance that the birthing process doesn't have to be the way it's shown on tv/ movies. The birthing movements are helpful to know about ahead of time."

Our team offers you prenatal classes that are evidenced-based and relevant. Our classes have evolved throughout the pandemic to ensure that you receive all the most up to date information for your birth. I'm so proud of how flexible our team has been throughout the past 3 years. Currently, Friday evening is online and Saturday is all in-person! Thank you for continuing to support us by sharing our classes to your friends and families.

"What we loved most about prenatal class was to try the physical positions and it was hands on. Yliza and Kerry made it a very safe space to be able to participate in everything."

04/11/2023

"It really helps you connect with your partner so you both know what to expect and how you can work through labour together and be supportive and encouraging!" -Amy

"Yes! I encourage couples to attend prenatal classes to learn the labour breathing techniques and because there was partner engagement."- Olivia

03/31/2023

"Loved how much information that I learned. There were so many things that I didn't know, that I didn't know.
Very insightful and gives you intel into things that you did not think of. Great for both expecting moms and dads."

03/28/2023

"While the entire labour process is unpredictable, this class helped us to feel much more prepared to handle the unknowns! Also, I think more importantly, it helped my partner and I to connect and talk about things going into this process that we wouldn’t have known to talk about. For example, if I’m unable to voice what my ideal labour looks like, he knows exactly what I want/don’t want, or we both know things that he can do to be helpful to me in labour and what kind of things I don’t want to focus on. I was on the fence about taking a prenatal class, but would now absolutely recommend it to anyone."-Jessica Shields

"Very insightful and gives you intel into things that you did not think of. Great for both expecting moms and dads."

03/03/2023

"It will give you a ton of information with handouts that you can refer back to when needed. Also, your partner will learn ways they can be supportive and involved"

02/28/2023

"It was very inclusive and non-judgemental. We found it gave dad lots of good tips and jobs to do. My partner wants to be as involved as possible, so it was difficult for him to wrap his mind around what he could do to help. He now feels excited to have his own jobs and responsibilities."

02/23/2023

"If you’re a first time parent, it’s a great way to learn what to expect. We feel much more prepared because we now know what is likely/what hopefully will happen."

02/19/2023

"This class gave valuable information in a non judgemental way and everything presented was based on evidence."

01/31/2023

"Even if you think you know everything. The refresher and putting it all together really helps. It made the whole thing sink in alot and really helped my mind set of what is about to happen to my body"

01/24/2023

"Prenatal class definitely helped my partner and I feel more prepared for labour, delivery, and breastfeeding. I learned a lot of techniques that I'm hoping to put into action when the time arrives!"
