Thomas Hartle is a 54 year old husband, father, and IT professional who has been dealing with stage 4 colon cancer since 2016. Faced with the typical outcome of stage 4 cancer, Thomas experienced a debilitating amount of anxiety over his future and that of his family.
In August of 2020, Thomas became the first Canadian to legally receive psilocybin assisted psychotherapy. Since that time, he has experienced a substantial improvement in both his emotional wellbeing, and in his overall ability to once again enjoy the time he has with his family.
Thomas’s exemption to use psilocybin expired after one year and he is still waiting for a response from Health Canada regarding a renewal.
Thomas is a passionate advocate for psilocybin therapy and his story is a beacon of hope for others who want to use psilocybin to help treat their end-of-life anxiety.
Thank you so much for your bravery and your commitment to support other patients who seek this life-affirming medicine, Thomas.
Ministers Jean-Yves Duclos & Carolyn Bennett, Thomas needs an exemption to continue with his therapy. What’s different about his application today from back in August 2020 when then-Health Minister Patty Hajdu granted his exemption? Will you respond to Thomas?
The Linden Medical Centre is looking for a full time medical office assistant. Duties are primarily telephone, data entry, and scheduling. Experience with Telus MedAccess EMR is an asset.
Let us introduce you to the lovely Carleigh for !
Carleigh is one of our rTMS technicians and is most likely the first person you will speak to about your rTMS/ketamine referral.
Carleigh has been with us since May of 2021, adding cheer and joy to our clinic while also providing her hard work and knowledge in both the ketamine and rTMS sides of the clinic.
When she is not working, she most likely is participating in yoga, baking gorgeous cakes, or taking her beloved German Shepherd for a walk. Carleigh is our ray of sunshine here in the clinic, and we couldn't be happier that she is part of our team!
It’s Let us reintroduce Dr. Monika Hooper!
Dr. Hooper is thrilled to offer ground-breaking treatments in her beloved home province of Saskatchewan 🌾
She is the first physician in Canada to receive Special Access Program approval for psilocybin treatment of Major Depressive Disorder!
Away from work, Dr. Hooper has a full life and full house! She lives with her husband, her three kids, a cat, a gecko and a snake 😳! In (rare) quieter moments, she enjoys walking or biking around the river or curling up with a good cup of coffee. She is an unparalleled listener and the beating heart of the office. To know her is to love her-but we might be biased!
And for some more exciting news…
Dr. Hooper is pleased to share that her rTMS practice is expanding! rTMS treatments will soon be available at The Linden satellite office in Prince Albert, SK. We hope this expansion will increase accessibility of treatment to northern residents.
Dr. Hooper just had her SECOND approval from the Health Canada Special Access Program (SAP) for a patient to access psilocybin for treatment of depression. Congratulations Dr. Hooper!
Thank you to and .yxe for providing the psychotherapeutic support for these patients!
Thank you also to for providing the medicine.
Today Dr. Hooper from is the first physician in Canada to receive special access approval for psilocybin for Major Depressive Disorder!!
In partnership with Sarah Binsfeld from .yxe, we are excited to facilitate Canada's first Health Canada/SAP approved Psilocybin Assisted Therapy for Depression!
We will share more details in the weeks to come.
Meet our Irish shamrock, Erica 🍀
Erica is one of our rTMS technicians. Prior to joining our team in June of 2021 she completed her Psychology degree at UBC. If she isn’t with a patient she is likely organizing the office or cleaning up after the other rTMS technicians. She LOVES all things pink and glittery! Erica also has quite the sweet tooth—as if she wasn’t sweet enough already.
again! Allow us to reintroduce one of our rTMS technicians, Moosa!
Moosa knows a whole heck of a lot about rTMS technology and he LOVES to talk about it. When he isn’t stimulating dorsolateral prefrontal cortices he is listening to music and drinking caramel frappuccinos.

In depressed patients, the electrical activity in certain areas of the brain is shown to be reduced.
Using rTMS targeted at these areas, we aim
to re-awaken these cells, increasing brain
activity to normal levels.
rTMS uses a focused electromagnet to rapidly
pulse a magnetic field to the targeted area.
The magnetic pulses induce an electrical
current in the brain, stimulating the cells into
activity.

Do you suffer from PTSD or treatment resistant depression? Ketamine is offering our clients new hope.
Ketamine is known as a "dissociative anesthetic", which means that it has the tendency to produce a disconnection from our usual way of feeling or thinking.
Given at lower doses during a psychotherapy session, it produces shifts in consciousness that may lower your defences and allow you to dig deeper into your psyche, traumas and healing processes.
It's time to start your healing journey. Ask your doctor for a referral if you think this could be right for you.

We are so proud to be able to offer the rTMS service right here in Saskatoon.
What is rTMS? Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is an effective and non-invasive treatment for depression which uses magnetic stimulation to stimulate areas of the brain that regulate mood.
Studies have indicated that rTMS increases levels of serotonin and dopamine, responsible for regulating ‘feel good’ and reward responses in the brain.
