The best thing about in home newborn sessions, is that every single one is unique! Unique to you and your style. ​​​​​​​​​.​​​​​​​​​.

I get asked when do I contact you for photos? The best practice is after they are born, and you are ready send me a message and then we can discuss a time and day that works best for us. That also allows me to see what I have available for the next few weeks. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I also know that having someone come to your home can be nerve wracking. Do not worry! I can help move some things around before we start. I have two kids and a husband, so I completely understand how a house can go from clean to destroyed in 2.5 seconds, no judgement from me!

The best thing about lifestyle newborn photos is that YOU get to pick when you are ready! Postpartum is hard! So if you are not ready for photos in the first 10 days of your baby being born, that's okay! I've done newborn photos up to 2 months old! ​​​​​​​​​I have experienced both a c-section and vaginal birth and they both had long healing periods and I wasn't ready to leave the house, or move around for photos. I am so happy I can support you in the huge life changing event with patience. ​​​​​​​​​DM to inquire.

I usually love booking newborn sessions for 10am. The light is good in most homes during this hour, babies are usually in their best moods in the am, and if you have a toddler or two, it usually doesn't interfere with their naps. ​​​​​​​​​I am flexible with this timing as well, if the afternoon works best for you and the lighting in your home is good, then that's great. ​​​​​​​​​

This was my last newborn session of 2023, and I am booking for 2024! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​My goal is for newborn photos to be easy for you! I come to you, I will bring you a Starbucks (because a good cup of coffee is magic). I want to capture this next chapter with you and your favourite people, in the places you spend the most time.

Here are some questions most clients have.

What do I put the baby in? Simple is better, ex) a plain coloured diaper shirt, OR nothing at all.

What do we wear? Dad: jeans and a tee, polo, button down
Mom: something comfy that goes with the colour palate of other outfits. This can be a flowy dress, or black leggings and a oversized sweater. No socks
Kids: If your kids are anything like mine, they know what they will wear what they won't. So go with the type of clothing they like in the colours you like. Avoid logos!

Hello!! I hope you have a huge smile on your face just like this sweet girl!! Like seriously cute!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Anyways, life is in full swing again, and we dug ourselves out of the snow madness that came last night. I am fine, everything is fine. I am happy no one has activities to get to tonight!!

These two are building their forever home and we decided to have their maternity photos done where their home is being built. They have a little dog that is named Callie, and she was the sweetest, and I know will be the best dog sister ever!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I can not wait to meet this little one soon. I've read a meme lately that Mom's say that family photos are so important because it the only time they are in photos with their kids, and I can relate to that!! My kids are getting to the age where I have to beg them to be in photos with me, so if we have family photos scheduled, they have no choice but to get the photos done. Have a hard person to buy for? Give them a gift certificate!! You can get them in any denomination!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Have a wonderful week!!
