• finished 2023 with a social 8km with the 🥳
• I ran to and from the meet-up to round the day off with a casual 21.4km 😅
• 2 years ago, a spontaneous 21km would have destroyed my feet for a couple days afterwards 😣 but all the work I’ve put into my base is paying off 🥳 (but also, I wouldn’t suggest increasing volume this suddenly 😅)
• going into 2024, I’m feeling stronger than ever - and I feel like we’re just getting started 🤘
• excited for more community building, running fun, and goal crushing in 2024! 🥳
• holy smokes! what an incredible year! 🤯
• I saw growth in all areas this year:
•• our family welcomed baby #3 and we began life as a family of 5 🥰👶🏻
•• with that, I made sure to prioritize time with family as much as I could 📆 reducing hours and ensuring I got to soak in as much snuggles as possible 🥰
•• I achieved my years-long goal of running a sub-1:30 half marathon at the 🥳 and podiumed for my age group at the 🥉🥳 (and my body is feeling like the sky is still the limit 👀)
•• I spent hours in-person and online with to refine my skills as a running clinician, making sure my running clients and athletes got the best and most updated treatment approaches 🤓
•• our team of physios grew from 2 to 5 in a span of 14 months 🙌 and our connections in the community grew and grew 🤝. My role as the team lead evolved and I had to refine my skills as a leader in addition to my personal clinical skills 🤓
• honestly, I feel like I let my foot off the gas work-wise in 2023 (compared to the previous couple of years) to make way for personal accomplishments - and I don’t regret it one bit!
• with a growing team and a list of to-dos for 2024, I’m excited to see what it holds!
• let’s go!! 🤘
🎄 from our family to your, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! ✨

• what were some hard pills you needed to swallow when it came to rehab?
• have your heard of REDs? 🤔
• if you haven’t and are invested in your own health as an athlete or you are the parent/coach/health professional of an athlete, this is a must read 🚨
• when it comes to injury management, the onus can’t solely fall on the physiotherapist as we know there are many other contributors
• build your team and work together 🤝
• a running assessment is more than just watching you run… if you want to learn about running footwear and how it influences your run, keep reading 👇
• your feet are designed to move and deserve a shoe that allows that 👟
• a couple common foot related injuries we see include plantarfasciopathy and hallux valgus (bunions) 🦶
• one of the first things I’ll want to examine is your day to day footwear as well as your running shoes to see how they might be influencing your foot mechanics 👞👢
• shoes that are too narrow or too tight can alter your foot mechanics leading to other issues 😖
