Progress exams are great check-in points to see how much improvement is being made. We typically do our scans every 12 visits to see the changes. Posture is a great indicator of overall health, it’s always great to see improvements and getting patients to stand taller.

🎒Choose the Right Size: Pick a backpack that is appropriately sized for your child's age and body. The backpack should not be wider than their torso and should sit no lower than four inches below the waistline.

🎒 Lighten the Load: Kids' backpacks should not exceed 10-15% of their body weight. Make sure they only carry what's necessary for the day to prevent strain on their developing bodies!

🎒 Proper Packing: Teach your child how to pack their backpack properly. Heavier items should be placed closest to the back, while lighter items can go towards the front. Use compartments to distribute weight evenly.

🎒 Use Both Straps: Emphasize the importance of using both shoulder straps. Using just one strap can lead to uneven weight distribution and discomfort. Adjust the straps so the backpack fits snugly against their back.

🎒Encourage Proper Wear: Remind your child to wear their backpack properly—both straps on their shoulders, not hanging off one arm. Adjust the straps so the backpack rests comfortably against their back and doesn't sag too low.
