I’ve sure enjoyed the break from preparing brow photos and posting on social media regularly over the last few months! Towards the end of my pregnancy, I was so busy with work and ensuring that all my clients were taken care of before my baby break. During that time, I did so many refreshers that looked amazing and I still have so many never before seen photos to share. Although I’m not back to work just yet, I am ready to get back on social media to share some of my recent work and all-time favourites.

This client came to see me for the first time last week with a previous eyebrow tattoo that she didn’t really know what to do about or how to work with. I gave her. Whole new set of natural looking brows that worked with her natural hair and completely covered up her previous eyebrow tattoo.

If there’s one thing that I love and hate about microblading.. it’s that it fades 😅

When your brows are as perfect as can be, you don’t want them to fade. On the other hand, as we age and as trends and our style changes, this is one of the greatest features of microblading because you can adjust and change your shape and style over the years as you return for refresher appointments with your artist.

The example above is ideal when referring to colour and how the tattoo will fade and shrink over a couple of years.

To be completely transparent, this client wanted to return for a refresher 1 year + 6 months after her most recent session but was turned away because of prescription accutane. You cannot get tattooed (including microblading) while you’re on or within one year of being on this medication and should consult with your doctor about this beforehand to ensure you are cleared.

Expensive?! Read below to learn what my take is on this expense. 👇🏻

✨ Microblading ✨

I know.. the initial expense seems like a lot, but if you factor in how often you will need to get this service done, microblading works out to $40-$50 per month for the first year and a half, and only $14-$20 per month after that!!

‼️ That is less than what MOST beauty services will cost you, and the maintenance of this service is so minimal compared to other beauty services as well.

This calculation is based on returning every year and a half to two years for appointments. Opposed to most beauty services which you need to return to maintain every few weeks, monthly, or every few months — Microblading is considered to be a super low-maintenance beauty treatment that is only needed every 18-24 months.

Nails, lashes, botox, facials — nothing against these services at all, but all of these services will end up costing you more than what microblading will and also require a lot of maintenance (just for comparison purposes) 💓

So while you reap the amazing benefits of rocking flawless brows everyday, and have more time for yourself rather than attending appointments, is microblading worth it?

My answer - ABSOLUTELY! My favourite beauty treatment, and hands-down one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! 🖤
