shoulder workout & tired eyes 🤪

I don’t think I’ve ever left a gym/workout and thought “I shouldn’t have went”. I literally had to convince myself this morning to not stay cozy in bed LOL.

But when I left, I felt awake, energized and ready to get the day going!

I’m not saying “you need to go to the gym”, honestly just move your body, it’ll feel good!

Mental Health IS health!

When looking at over all well-being, mental health is a component of health. 🧠

We’ve all experienced trauma, negative life experiences, scary s**t. S**t that built us the way we are today. Does this mean you have to stay stuck in those unhealthy coping patterns? No!

We have to be willing to address our own mental health to reach mental wellness. We also have to be open enough to understand or at-least try to understand what people might be going through. 🌄

Days are going to be harder then others, and it’s helpful when we have people there to cheer us on in those tough moments. 🎉

There are different ways we can actively work on achieving mental wellness:

🌱 mindfulness
🌱 body movement
🌱 good sleep
🌱 nutritious foods
🌱 connecting with others
🌱 professional support
🌱 journaling/gratitude
🌱 engage in hobbies
🌱 talking
🌱 limit alcohol/drugs

Improving mental health is an ongoing process and totally normal to seek extra help and support when we need it!

When we feel like we have it all figured out, something might come up. Filling your tool box with strategies to help when those challenging times come up will be beneficial! 🧰

Why should we be moving our bodies? And no, I’m not saying go do an intense workout for 2 hours a day 💁🏼‍♀️

Body movement is crucial for wellness because even simple, regular physical activity elevates mood, boosts energy, and enhances flexibility 🌱

All of those benefits contribute to improved mental and physical health!

Activities you can do to start moving your body 💃

• Yoga stretches
• Pilates
• Walk in nature
• Dancing
• Gardening
• …

Anything that involves you moving your body will provide the benefits 🌸🧘‍♀️
