Though she was deaf and blind, she went on to become the deaf and blind person to earn a bachelor's degree and also went on to publish 14 books and drove true positive social change especially towards women and people with disabilities.
Today we celebrate her as her quote "Alone we can do so little: together we can do so much" is so true. The quote has echoed through time and it has tested to be true throughout the ages. We can indeed do so little on our own but can accomplish so much indelible deeds together as one people.
