Rushed out to see Longlegs and I have to say...enjoyed it, cool little thriller, but for me not nearly what it was built up to be. Well directed by Perkins, cool visual style, Monroe was excellent, Cage was Cage, but the film was not at all scary. A solid little thriller nonetheless.

I really enjoyed the first two episodes of The Acolyte, felt very original trilogy, but with some beautiful new production design, ship designs etc. The whole cast was great, but Disney, don't psych us all up for Carrie Ann Moss as a badass Jedi in every trailer and in all the artwork only to find out she is just in it for a cameo. Not nice.

Really underwhelmed by the full Beetlejuice Beetlejuice trailer. Feels very direct-to-video, and Keaton just seems to be missing all that Beetlejuice energy, he just seems tired through the whole trailer. It just got bumped down my anticipated list.

Ok, just a warning to everyone, there is a movie coming out this year called Speak No Evil, with James McAvoy and Mackenzie Davis, and it is a remake of a brilliant and terrifying Danish film from a couple of years ago. The trailer just came out, and it looks like it might be just as good as the original, but DO NOT watch the trailer. It is over 2 minutes long and shows 90% of the movie. Trust me just go see it without knowing anything, or look up the original and see it first, but it is best seen with nothing known going in.

Okay, this is quite the week for new movies. Absolutely loved Monkey Man, and went to see The First Omen tonight and it was friggin awesome too! Cool retro 70s vibe, nothing cheesy, good solid serious scares and a badass demonic storyline. Highly recommend both!!
