CASTING SKATEBOARDERS 18+

We are looking for Skateboarders who have advanced experience, they need to be able to do a few different tricks such as a kickflip and ride a half pipe while successfully getting air. Any gender, ages 18 plus. Must have some pre-existing videos / skateboarding reel to demonstrate they could pull off these tricks. You will be required to upload those on your application form. This will be filming at an indoor skate park.

Compensation If selected: approx. $3,000.00 per person including a stunt fee. This is a union campaign. (ACTRA) Non union members or real Skateboarders are welcome to apply. Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent resident.

Deadline to submit: ASAP or before February 14, 2023 at 10am EST.

*The earlier you apply the better since we are in a time crunch!

Must be available on these dates in Toronto:
Covid Test: 48 hours prior to the shoot.
Wardrobe: Feb 27 or Feb 28th - TBD which day.
Shoot Date: March 1 or 2 - TBD which day. (indoor skate park)

With heavy hearts we have to announce that our retail store will be closing on June 15th

Leases, Covid and TTC construction have been challenging, but we are not going away!

Our Story

Longboard Haven is a name with deep roots in Toronto longboarding. The shop's first incarnation in 2006, was an underground operation run by Patrick "P-Swiss" Switzer, 2011 Downhill World Champion.

LBH is again alive and well, Rob Sydia and co-founder Michael "Smooth Chicken" McGown have re-established Longboard Haven across from Moss Park on Queen Street East.

LBH's philosophy is simple, "if we won't ride it, we won't sell it", we are focused on providing the best equipment, customer service and expertise.

Longboard Haven provides a unique retail environment and a sincere desire to get new riders into the community and seasoned riders shredding harder. We offer kid-centric packages, a full line of safety equipment, private/group lessons and summer camps.

As parents/active participants in the Ontario longboarding community, our goal is to provide a positive environment that acts as a living classroom, providing a glimpse into our history, while providing knowledge and advice to ensure every rider has the tools to skate the streets safely.

Longboard Haven believes that choosing the 'right' set-up is a personalized process and is dependent on a rider's age, ability and desired function. By offering our customers the best products made by top brands, we provide a wide selection to choose from, while assisting in finding the 'perfect' combination that matches their needs.
