Learning to forgive isn’t always easy.
But it’s always good for you.
❤️ It’s good for your health. It can help lower the risk of heart attacks, improve your sleep, and reduce levels of anxiety, depression, and stress.
🧠 It helps you move forward. When you forgive, you let go of resentment and can heal without the anger.
And more importantly…
📖 It’s taught in the Bible. There are many verses and stories in the Bible that teach the importance of learning how to forgive, what real forgiveness looks like, and why we need forgiveness.
So if you’ve been holding a grudge all year long, or there’s someone you’ve been meaning to say “sorry” to but haven’t gotten around to it…today is the day to try it.
As Daniel, the writer of the “How I Learned to Forgive” blog, says, “Forgiveness is a process. At first, it can be hard. Like, really hard. But it gets easier every time you do it. Forgiveness requires humility when you ask for it, and kindness when you give it, and every step must be earned and made in good faith. God forgives, and He shouldn’t expect any less of us.”

Talking to the Dead
Many people feel the need to show their love and respect for the departed even online. They change their profile pictures with lit candles on a black background. They even talk to them; telling them about their regrets and broken promises.
True Christians do not talk or pray for their dead because it is not taught by the Bible. Some people find relief in thinking that they are doing their dead loved ones some favor by praying for them, but it's actually a pointless practice. This is so because the Bible says:
"....the dead know nothing" and "They will never again take part in anything that happens in this world." (Eccl. 9:5-6, New King James Version). Clearly, talking to and praying for the welfare of the dead is in vain. There is nothing that the living can do that will benefit the dead.
They can't hear us. They can't see us. They won't benefit from us. What's worst is that such practices are branded by the Bible as "an abomination to the Lord" (Deuteronomy 18:10-13).
Yes, we feel sad when someone passes away. We miss them. We even cry when we remember the good old days with them. But we don't pray for them and we don't talk to them (even online); because such practices are against the teachings of God.
