The Forest Enhancement Society of BC has 42 newly funded projects to help utilize waste wood and mitigate wildfire risk in B.C. These newly funded projects come as a result of the $50 million given to FESBC earlier this year by the Ministry of Forests to boost fibre supply by utilizing uneconomic fibre and reduce wildfire risk while also supporting workers and communities.

Last week, we welcomed nearly 800 delegates to for three days of sharing, listening, and learning.
With a full house of eager and excited delegates, we heard the latest on market trends, sustainable forestry, meaningful reconciliation, geopolitical risks and opportunities, and how we can ensure the next generation is ready to meet the challenges and opportunities facing them head on. One reoccurring theme that was present throughout was the need to work as partners, and we look forward to doing so to ensure can continue to deliver benefits to people and the 🌎.
