Our Story
SSLC ( Sprott Shaw Language College ) is a leading English language school in Canada with campuses in Victoria, Vancouver, Surrey, and Toronto.
SSLC offers a variety of general English courses for all age groups.
Alongside our College and University Pathway programs (IEPE and EPE ) , SSLC also offers BE Business English, PMM Powerspeaking and Modern Media programs for those who want to go further with their education in Canada. For students wishing to study in a post-secondary institution, SSLC has partnered with more than 40 colleges and universities. SSLC goes the extra mile by assisting students with applications and academic preparation.
For teenagers and other youth, SSLC offers Vacation (Summer & Winter) Camps at all its locations. The biggest camp is the Residence Global Leaders Camp every year in July that is located at the UBC campus in Vancouver. These camps combine fun and learning which makes for a memorable experience.
SSLC offer a customized ESL Skill Focused curriculum, that is unique and allows students to learn English based on their individual needs. Students can also choose an ESL Skill Combined English teaching method at our Toronto campus.
Students can also choose from a variety of certificates and diplomas once they have achieved an intermediate level English competency. SSLC's sister school, VIC Career College provides further diploma options including GBE Global Business Expertise, CSP Customer Service Professional and a Co-op (study and work with 20 hour off campus work permit), TESOL Teachers Training and Interpreting and Translation.
We understand that learning English is not just about the language, it is also about the experience. We offer students in-house activity coordinators to assist students with where to go, what to do and how to do it!
We have staff on campus that speak a variety of languages to assist in adjusting to life in Canada, choosing the study plan that is right for you or just to chat!
