United Way Southern Vancouver Island has launched their 2024 Period Promise campaign, a public push to increase access to free menstrual products so that all people who menstruate can go to work, get to school, access services, and stay connected to their community.

As part of the campaign, UWSVI is hosting a product drive for unopened boxes of tampons, pads, and other menstrual products. On May 25th (10am-2pm), they will collect donations at the Saanich location of Save-on-Foods with the goal of filling an entire BC Transit bus with menstrual products.

Several organizations in Victoria are accepting donations ahead of the drive, including The Bay Centre, Victoria Market Collective, and Mel Lingerie. Find more details on the Period Promise campaign: https://uwsvi.ca/periodpromise/
